Childlike Faith

16But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. Luke 18:16-17

My children believe I am the strongest man in the world. There is nothing that they don't think I can do. They believe when they are hungry that I will feed them. When they are afraid they believe I am going to protect them. When they are sick they believe I will comfort them. Whatever the problem or situation they believe that their parents hold the solution. They are dependant on us (mom and dad) to supply their needs. No matter how strong they believe I am they also believe Jesus is stronger. They pray and believe that Jesus will heal and protect their bodies. They don't doubt God at all. They know in their little minds and hearts that God hears them and will help them. They know that God helps them in school and that He has given them talents and gifts. They are never afraid to talk to Him.

Where is our childlike faith?

Who has corrupted our minds to think that our circumstances are greater than our God? We have been polluted by satan to think that God does not want to be bothered with us. We have been hindered from the presence of God by our fears and doubts. We have struggled with the circumstances of life waiting for a change to come our way but nothing comes.

Today is our day to enter into the kingdom of God. Jesus has put His foot on the neck of satan and He has called for us to come to Him. Jesus is not asking for us to come as an adult that knows everything but as a child that will believe in Him no matter what situation comes our way. He has a place for us in His kingdom but we must come as we are, believing that God is worthy of all the Glory and Honor.

A child does not know everything but they are not afraid to ask their father. They might not know how to do everything but they are not afraid to ask for help from their father. A child has no pride in what they can do but in what their father can do. Our confidence should be in what God can do not what we can do. Jesus is waiting on us to come to Him seeking the presence of our Father. Seeking His guidance, love, and strength. My oldest son has a scripture hanging over his bed that reads. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. My son believes will we? God bless you.

Drawn by a Cross

32And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. 33This he said, signifying what death he should die. John 12:32-33

This is an amazing passage that is misused by many believers. We say in our churches if we speak about Christ then He will draw all men to Himself. Our words about Christ does not draw alone. Our sacrificial lives in Christ draws men to come to Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ wants the world to see what He has done for them. He wants men to come back to God. So Jesus Christ was lifted up from the earth; hung on a cross at Calvary so that whoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2

Jesus our example wants to perform the same act in us. We might not die on a physical cross like He did but we must die daily so that the life of Christ can be seen through us. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

When our lives are lifted up in sacrifice unto God then our lives through our death can draw men to God. We must take up our cross and follow Him. What is the cross for? And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. Galatians 5:24 It is for us to crucify our flesh so that God's spirit may resurrect us to a newness of life in Him. Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Romans 6:6 People will not be drawn to God through words but through a life that exhibits the love of God. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

In this day let us turn to God and allow Him to align us to His will. We are destined for greatness and there is nothing greater than laying down our lives so that others may see Christ and live. Let us decrease so that Christ can increase and He will draw the all men/women back to God. God bless you.

Driven to Soar

As I ran today God placed in my heart. "be driven to soar" I saw the birds flying I saw dark clouds moving but as the clouds moved closer to the birds. The birds soared above the dark clouds and continued to a higher elevation. When birds are hungry the fly down and look for food on the ground but when danger is near they fly to a place of safety.

As believers we have the same ability spiritually as the birds do naturally. We can be elevated above the dangers of this world. In Christ we can live above the storms of life. The key is not our ability but Christ. He enables us to have peace in the midst of a storm. He can deliver us when we are vulnerable to our enemies. When we lift up our arms unto Him He gives us wings to fly into His presence. We must be driven to be in God's presence. Driven not by the storms of life but by the unfailing love of our Lord and Saviour. He wants to work in us. He wants to empower us. We must desire Him more than the substance on the ground. Our natural hunger and desire will keep us on the ground but our spiritual hunger for God will cause us to soar into heavenly places. In this day let us seek the Lord and be filled by His presence. It is time to fly. God bless you.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: Ephesians 2:6

Sonny Days Ahead

There is a light that is breaking forth over the horizon. It is the Light of God. Jesus Christ has His eyes fixated on our lives and He is ready to shine His light and illuminate our darkness. We must get excited about about the coming Son. When I go to the beach and await the sunrise there is a calm peace that rests on me. I am completely focused on what is in front of me as I anticipate the sun brightening my day.

God has sent His Son to completely brighten all our days. The Son never sleeps nor slumbers He is shining on someone at all times. The Son heals all our diseases and cleanses us from our sins. He is the bright and morning star. If you want to accept Him or not He is still shining. The Son shines over every storm and every cloud filled with darkness. Look up and see the salvation of Lord. Every burden is lifted and every frown is changed into a smile when we Jesus in the brightness of His glory.

Sonny days are ahead enjoy your life under the Son. God bless you.

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. Revelations 22:16

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. Isaiah 9:2

Encouraged from within

"1And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire; 2And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way. 3So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives. 4Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep. 5And David's two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. 6And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God." I Samuel 30:1-6

David and His men had been pursued by King Saul and His army. They aligned themselves with Saul's enemies the Philitines and had made a home for themselves in Ziglag. They found a place they could find comfort. In the passage we find David and His men come to Ziglag and all that they had was gone. Their houses were burned, their wives and children were taken away. Just think about that. You go to the church and when you come home all that you have to gone. Your family has been taken away from you. You have nothing but the shirt on your back. Those men wept over their lost. They had been separated from their home country now in the place that they made for themselves was burned to the ground.

They had trusted David, They would have died for him. But now as they wept over their lost they wanted to stone their leader. David just like all the men had lost everything but in distress everyone turned their back on him. There will be a time when everyone will turn their backs on you. We all are placed into situations that we will be isolated from all that we know. In that time we must learn to encourage ourselves in the Lord. Encouraging yourself is not a false sense of power that we don't need anybody but it comes from the within. When all hope is lost and we have no one that loves us we can turn to God and find courage for any storms. Why would God allow our enemies to take all that we had? The answer is simple so that we can draw closer to Him. He wants us to lean on Him not our friends or family. God's unconditional love is evident when we can't even love ourselves. If you have God's love you don't need the encouragement of men. You don't need to be told "good job" God has already showered His grace on you. There is nothing that can satisfy or encourage like His Love.

In this moment or day take courage in knowing that God loves you and is for you. He is not placing you in trying situations to destroy you but to empower you. When you don't know what to do turn to God and be encouraged in Him. He will never leave you nor forsake you. God empowered David and His men in their weakness and they got their family back and took the spoil of their enemies. God has great things in store for all those that will trust Him. Trust God in the good days and bad days He can't and won't fail you. God bless you.

Stop and smell the Roses

In my life I can get caught up in the busyness of life. I can be consumed with my job, my responsibilities, social engagments, church, and even my calling. But there comes a time when I have to stop and take time to be alone with God. No matter if my intentions are good if I don't spend time with God my life controls me and I always end up frustrated by life. God puts everything in its proper place.

When is the last time you looked up and appreciated the sky and the clouds? What about the joy of seeing your children jump and laugh at a park? There are so many great experiences that we miss out on because our focus is on things that mean nothing. Open your eyes to what God has blessed you to possess. I don't want to look back at my life and regret not enjoying the journey that God has blessed me to travel. Turn off your cell phone, turn off your tv and computer and enjoy the simple things like taking a walk or having a conversation with someone you love at a park. If you can not do anything us else take a breathe and smile believe me it will make a difference in the midst of chaos.

We live with a sense of urgency that can border on out of control. But when we place our lives in God's hands we are at peace with whatever progress is made in the day. Stop take time to appreciate the most important thing in your life (God). Thank Him for life, purpose and passion. Allow Him to align your life with His will and take rest in His spirit that you may enjoy everything that He places in your life. God bless you.

"As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied when I awake, with thy likeness." Psalms 17:15

It is time for the Mountain to move!!

"And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, Than whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cst into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." Mark 11:23

"Our faith must move our mouth before it will move our mountain. Believing is the attitude of faith and speaking is the initial act of faith" by Mark Hankins from an article called Faith is not a feeling.

Wow. Our faith in God makes the impossible possible. We can see obstacles and situations that are in front of us but when are we going to open our mouth in faith? Our mouths can be filled with fear and doubt but with God our mouth will be filled with faith. We are not require us to climb the mountain but to speak to the mountain. The mountains that stand before us are real but so is our God.

Jesus is greater than any mountain, unmoveable object that stands in our way. No illness, no debt, no relationship problem, no thought is greater than our God. So In this moment surrender your thoughts and cares to Him and allow Him to replace our cares with faith. Faith will change our outlook and refresh our lives.

It is time to speak over our uncertain and live in the only thing that is certain (God). When the mountain moves is not in our control but no this the mountain will move according to our faith in God. If it takes a month, a year, a decade for your to see the fulfillment of what you spoke it does not matter. It is that you spoke it. If you don't open your mouth you will never see the mountain move.

Lets us rest in God as He moves every obstacle and mountain out of our way and know that nothing is too hard for our God. God bless you.

I want out but I can't find the exit!!

Have you ever been in a place where you wanted to get out but could not find an exit? I remember going to a haunted house and when we entered the house everything was pitch black. We could not see anything and all we could do was trust the person in front of us to lead us to the exit. The further we got in the more it seemed that we were lost in some kind of maze. I heard people screaming and panicking for being enclosed in darkness. When a light would appear it did not bring hope only terror for a monster would jump out and scream at us. Thoughts raced through my head why did I put myself in this situation? I can't wait to get out of this but as people were paralyzed in their fear, it prevented us from getting out. What torture we put ourselves through to have fun? I enjoyed haunted house before and after but I never truly like being scared.

Haunted houses might not scare you but there is something that you are afraid of? You might not admit it but everyone has a fear. When the fear comes what is your reaction? Are you paralyzed by your fears? God has given us something that is a cure to our fear it is faith.

Our faith in Jesus Christ can overcome any fear or doubt that tries to consume us. Some times we place ourselves in the pit of fear when we are afflicted by circumstances. That pit can be an agonizing place to be but if we release our faith our pit will turn into a well of living life giving water. God's Spirit delivers and redeems us when the pit of fear and offers no way of escape.

Don't feel like you have to get yourself out of your situation. You are not alone but you have to release your faith in God to be deliver from your fears. God has peace, joy, love and happiness for those that put their trust in Him. Your situation might not change but in midst of your storm you find peace that empowers you to keeping moving forward. You will eventually get to the exit of your haunted house and when you come out of it You will be empowered by the knowledge that when you were lost God's Spirit led you to the Light. God is infront of us and He will lead us out when we lean and depend on Him. God bless you.

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." I Corinthains 10:13

A Myth about a Dirty Old Motorcycle

I heard a myth yesterday that blessed me. A man went to a yard sale and saw a old dirty harley davidson motorcycle. The man always wanted a harley so he asked if he could buy the motorcycle and the seller said "My wife has been trying to get me to get rid of that bike for the longest, if you want it I will sell it to you for $100". The man agrees and takes the bike home. When he gets a chance to look at the bike to see if it can be restored. He calls an Harley Davidson store. The clerk checks the serial number of the bike and asked the man to look under the seat and tell him what it says. He does and the clerk tells him to hold as he waits he wonders maybe this old bike was stolen and they are going to arrest him. Then the clerk gets back on the phone and tell the man "My supervisor has authorize me to offer you $100,000 for the bike will you take it" The man declines wondering what he has just bought. The next day Jay Leno (remember this is a myth) calls him and offers the man $500,000 for the bike. What was so important about this dirty old bike that people wanted it so bad. The writing under seat read "The King". It was Elivs Presly's old motorcycle. The value was not in the bike but in who had owned the bike.

Sometimes what we have we don't see the value in. We just see this dirty old bike that will take some much work and money to restore it to good condition. What you have in possession is invaluable not becuase of it condition but It was owned by the True King Jesus Christ.

Our lives are of great value and many people are in search for the treasures that we possess. God has given of Himself to us so that His treasure can be found in this world. People will offer all they possess to possess what you have. The world is lost looking for a Savior, looking for the treasure that brings fulfillment. What they are looking for you possess. Those that find it in you will appreciate it, cherish it, and will support it.

The gift that you have will draw others to seeking to possess the land God has prepared for them. Your dirty old bike is in your possession don't be ashamed to share your gifts with the world. God bless you.

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10

"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." II Corinthians 4:3-7

Divided I Fall, United We Stand

Divided we fall united we stand is a slogan that many businesses believe in. Yesterday my wife asked me a question that stirred my spirit. She asked "what is the purpose of the letter q? It can not make a word without being with the letter u. U can make words without the letter q but q must be combined with u for it to be used."

Wow!! As I pondered on the letter q I began to identify with it. Without Christ being in my life, my life is without meaning. It is impossible for me to create a word without Him being connected to me. So many times I have failed in life trying to make something out of myself. Trying to fit in, Trying to make a name for myself. As I continued to fall short I found out that I could not make a name without Christ. I could not create anything that would last without Him.

My prosperity comes from my dependence to His presence in my life. Without His presence I am alone, out of place, confused, misunderstood, unappreciated, and hopeless. With Him I am filled with purpose, passion, love, joy, peace, and happiness. I am alive through Him and dead without Him. He is the true source of my life.

God has created us with a purpose and we can only fulfill our divine purpose when we are attached to Him. If you are looking for a partner, a friend, a companion, a parent look no further than Christ. He is what we need to being meaning to our lives. Accept that you can't make it without Him. Do not resist the Lord through pride but confess your need for God and allow God to fill your heart with love. He is your lifesource and He is ready to bring meaning to you. Open the door and let Him in. God bless you.

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelations 3:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3

Reign In Life

"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ" Romans 5:17

When we are born in to the world as our life began death hanged over our heads. We don't know when our time to die will be no one does. Some die as children so die in old age but the time of death is unknown to all that live in this world. We never had a choice in if we wanted to die or not. Because of sin death has ruled and conquered the strongest of men.

Then came Jesus. Jesus Christ through His love and grace did the unthinkable. He died for our sins and took captivity captive. He satisfied our sin debt and gave us life. When we receive Christ we are no longer bound to death but liberated to live in Him. It is not just for the strong and the most gifted individuals it is for everyone. It is for those that will believe in Jesus Christ. The one that overcame the world(death, sin) through His death burial and resurrection and now through faith are set free from the chains of death and given a clean slate in Him.

Our faith in Him causes us to reign in life. We are not confident in ourselves but we are confident in the one that has freed us from ourselves. Jesus Christ causes us to reign not because we deserve to but because His grace allows us to. Without His grace we would have no access to a relationship with God. Grace allows us to live above our limitations and dwell in the Presence of our Creator. Through the grace of God (Jesus Christ) we reign in life.

Receive the grace of God in your life. It is a gift of God that has your name on it. Accept it and Live in it. God Bless you

Present in His Presence

In our lives we can sometimes feel like we are alone. We have no one to lean on and we don't have an ear that will hear our cry. In our alone time we are enlightened to the Presence of God. When all is still and silence pierces our hearts the voice of God speaks to us. We are present in His Presence. No longer are we in search of God but rather awakened to the understanding that He is always with us. When no one else is there He is there. When the trials of life surround us His Light directs us into peace and love. We are liberated to know that whatever we go through we are not alone but God is here with us.

"Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every an to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me." John 16:32

When Jesus was about to be crucified He knew that all His disciples would leave Him while He suffered and was nailed to the Cross. No one was there with Him but He knew that His Father was everpresent. The Presence of God can get us through anything. Take courage and know that when there is no one to lean on you can lean on God. God bless you.

Roller Coaster Analogy

Our walk with God can have ups and downs but in the end the adventure and the thrill is always worth it. If we can say in our seats when the ride is over we will have received understanding of Who God is and our faith will be strengthen. Don't let the enemy keep you from enjoy the roller coaster with the fear of uncertainity. The ride of faith leads us to places that soar above our limitations. Below an analogy of the roller coaster. You are at the park why not enjoy the rides while you are here. "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses." I Timothy 6:12God bless you.

ANALOGY OF A ROLLER COASTER
Natural Experience Spiritual Experience

No matter how many times we have been on a roller coaster (the vehicle that leads us to our promised land), there is nothing like the thrill of riding a new roller coaster (nothing like the excitement of a new experience in God). When we see a new roller coaster it seems so exciting, (we only see how fulfilling the experience will be), and we are eager to experience the thrill of the ride (we are eager to see another side of God through the journey). Before we ride the roller coaster we have to prepare ourselves. We don’t eat or drink anything until after the ride (we empty ourselves of our carnal desires). If we get on the ride full from a meal, we will risk upsetting our stomachs and getting sick on the ride or even immediately after the ride (if we are full of the cares of this world we can not endure the twist and turns that our journey will takes us on and we will suffer). Doing this, will prevent us from riding other roller coasters (through our suffering we will try to avoid any experience that will invoke the same kind of pain). We wait in line for hours for our turn to ride the roller coaster (we patiently wait for our opportunity to journey to our promised land). As we approach the front of the line, we are overjoyed with pure excitement (We praise God because we can see we are about to walk into our promised land). We sit down in our seats, put our seatbelts on, and our excitement becomes mixed with a little nervousness (When we were waiting we could still change our minds from taking the journey but once we sit down we let go of control and we are vulnerable). Unfortunately, there is no turning back now (Even if we wanted to change our minds we have go through the journey); we are not able to change our minds, though we ponder where this ride will take us (we see the magnitude of our decision to take this journey and consider what we are about to go through to obtain our promise). We slowly move closer to the highest point of the ride and our nerves reach their boiling point (we are consumed with uncertainty). We see the whole ride and wonder if we made the right choice (we see we are about to experience things that we naturally can not handle and feel that we made a mistake). We smile, while trying to hide our fears from the ongoing riders, and we boast about how we are ready for whatever the ride has to offer (our pride will not allow anyone to see that we are scared, so we act like we can take anything that the experience brings). At the top, there is complete silence as we brace ourselves for the big drop (stillness consumes us as we hold on for our life). As we begin to fall at a rapid speed, the only thing that is keeping us in our seats is our seatbelts (as our lives fall apart the only thing that keeps us from giving up is our faith in God). Our stomachs feel like it is in our throats and the only relief from the pressure is to scream (as our fears and insecurities begin to surface our only option for relief is to shout unto God). When we scream, the pressure is released, and we are able to enjoy the ride (when we shout and praise God in the midst of our afflictions, we are able to rest in the peace of God). We travel so fast through the ride that we are never up, down, or upside down for a long period of time (we go through our journey so quickly that we never stuck in place but rather constantly moving forward to our promised land). Anytime we feel the pressure of our stomachs moving up into our throats, we scream and it frees us to appreciate the ride (anytime the pressures of life began to surface we praise God and it liberates us to enjoy our journey). When the ride is over, we are so happy that we experienced the new ride, and we begin to look for the next roller coaster to ride (when the journey is over, we testify and are excited about our experience, and are ready for the next journey that God has for us).

The Simple Life

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace, In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world." John 16:33

"For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?" I John 5:3-5

Can life really be simple? I believe it can be as long as I don't mess it up. God has given us some much to enjoy in our lives. That don't require our bright ideas. Only one thing can get us to enjoying the life God has for us. It is our faith in Jesus Christ. Faith that is unwavered by circumstance. Faith that endures every storm and test. Faith that His word never fails. Faith is our key to overcoming the world. Faith in Christ uncomplicates the complications. We need to trust His word to believe His word and to Walk on His Word for His Word shall prosper. No matter what it looks like the Word of God (Jesus Christ) never fails.

When we submit our lives to Christ our life is simple because we are no longer subject to this world but rather to God. What ever happens is in His will and will not destroy us but draws us closer to Him.

The simple life is a life full of faith in the One that gave us life Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. If we can keep on hearts on Him what we see or fear can not overcome us but Our faith in God will overcome it. Embrace Christ and live the life that you are meant to live.

Learning to Share

"And all that believed were together; and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people, And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." Acts 2:44-47

What is sharing? It is defined as a verb : use together, enjoy together; have in common. 2. divide in parts, each taking a part.

The is not the definition that many of us learning growing up. If we wanted to play with a toy and someone else wanted the same toy we were told by our parents or an adult to share. Which meant that we had to give the other person the toy and we had to wait for another opportunity to play with it.

"Sharing" by that definition is torture for any child. The problem is that was we grow up we never learned how to share the right way so we never enjoy it. We don't like to "share the spotlight" with our siblings. We take ownership for everything we get and it is our entitlement. No one deserves our stuff we earned it. So why should we share anything with people that don't deserve it?

When we share we don't lose anything but we gain everything. We allow our possessions to meet the needs of others as their possessions meet the needs of us. We enjoy everything together. When we receive Jesus not religion our hearts are open to sharing the gospel to the world. We are concerned about meeting the needs of His people and we are not self centered but allow God to be our center. He allows us to share His love to others. He imparts His goodness into the lives of the lost and He redeems them with open hands.

Everything that we need is in Him but we must let go of our selfish ways and allow God to teach us how to share with our neighbors. We must love those that God connects us to so that His love can save and fill the hearts of the needy.

Sharing is not grievous it is brings joy, it brings life and unity. We need each other. There is something in you that I need as there is something in me that you need. We must humble ourselves and allow God to place what we need into our hands. Learning to share takes humility there is no pride in sharing. No matter how much you have means nothing it you are the only one benefiting from it. When we open our hearts to God. He opens our hands to His people. God bless you.

Scattered Sheep longing for The Shepherd

"But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest." Matthew 9:36-38

SECTION I: MULTITUDE OF SHEEP

Our generation is dealing with a serious situation. We have so much technology, so much knowledge, so much promise, so many talents and gifts but lack the presence of The Shepherd. We live according to our knowledge and experience leaving us ignorant to the plan of God.

We are afflicted with sickness and try to cure ourselves with medicine, home remedies, and our diets.

We are overweight and we try to lose weight by hard work and a good diet.

We are wounded and we go to doctors, tv talk show host and self help books to finding healing for our past.

We have relationship problems and we try every book, every relationship tip from the experts, even imitate reality stars (bacholer).

In all of our issues we never find the true answers to our questions. We wander and survive in this world yearning for direction and fulfillment. We are waiting for someone to take us out of the ground and be placed where we can be used. We are tired of being in the multitude we want to be pulled out from the crowd and given direction on what we are here for.

If you feel lost, confused and want to know what you are here for. Turn to Jesus Christ allow His life to shine into your heart. He is your Shepherd, He is your friend. When the two blind men came to Jesus. According to their faith they received their healing. The woman with the issue of blood received her healing according to her faith in Jesus. Read Matthew 9 and read of all the miracles that happened. Turn your trust to Jesus Christ and receive Him into your hearts. He is who you are searching for just believe in Him. God bless you.

SECTION II: WHERE ARE THE WORKERS

Where are the labourers that will pull us out of the ground and lead us back to God? Where are the workers that will disregard the heat and the long hours to gather the sheep for the Master? We are called to serve the hopeless, the misguided, the faint. They need compassion not condemnation. They need love not scorn. They need mercy not judgement. Never forget that you used to be lost. If it was not for the grace of God you would not have the opportunity to help others. We can't forget that it is not our harvest it is God's harvest. Our work is to feed those that God draws to us, not make them servants to us. We are there to serve them. Let us walk in the Spirit of Love and allow God's Love to fulfill the needs of the lost and turn a generation back to God. God bless you.

Peace that passeth understanding

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace, In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world." John 16:33

In this world tribulation is a given. If we have Jesus Christ in your life or not we are guaranteed to go through storms. Our bodies are afflicted with sickness, People can lie on us, We may be wrongly accused of things that we did not do. whatever our tribulation may be Jesus Christ has given us a promise. If we keep our minds and hearts on Him in spite of our situations we can have peace in Him. What a remarkable gift His peace can be when the storms of life run rampant in our lives. When all is in chaos. God has sent His peace into our hearts to comforts us and keep us safe from drowning in the rain. Through Jesus Christ we find peace, hope, joy and love. Without His peace our hearts would be consumed in fear and we would be too troubled to receive to hope of our Saviour.

Today I started running again. It is a new season and it is time for me to get back in shape. As I went to go outside. It was raining, the ground was saturated with water and as my flesh wanted to not take the risk of running in the rain. I embarked on my journey knowing that God was with me. Every puddle that I had to run through became a stepping stone to my destination. My body wanted me to stop. It was telling me that it is your first day you don't have to push yourself. It is not worth it, it is raining. My spirit kept me going. Looking at each step I took I was driven to my destination by God's peace. I knew God would get me to the finish line and I trusted in Him to strengthen me when my body became weak. Without His peace there would be no way that I could persevere through the storm to exercise my faith. God's peace is a gift that passeth understanding for it can calm us even when all hope is seemingly bleak. In this day let us turn to God and keep our minds and hearts on Him so that His peace and consume us and guide us through the day. Jesus Christ has overcome our tribulations so let us take peace in knowing that He has already worked out our situations. God bless you.

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Phillippians 4:7

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth; give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3

"Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us." Isaiah 26:12

The Gift of the Holy Spirit

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38

Yesterday the blog was on the water baptism and it if was necessary for us. Today we will look at the second part of this scripture. Ye shall receive the gift. When our flesh as been cleansed from the stains of our sins and we stand clean before God. God has a gift for us. It is a gift that means more than anything that this world can give us. It is the gift of His Spirit. There is no hope or life without His Spirit dwelling inside of us.

The Holy Spirit does not just fill the voids in our heart, it cleanses and purges our inner soul from the iniquity that dwells in us. It is not enough to have our sins forgiven if our hearts are filled with iniquity that will cause us to sin again. The river of life that flows inside of us washes the hardness of our proud hearts and the fire of His Spirit purges the poison that has tainted our blood. Our hearts are then enabled to be turned to God and we are empowered by His Spirit to fulfill our divine purpose.

16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galations 5:16-24

Without the Spirit of God being in our heart we can not walk in the Spirit but rather will be subject to walking in the flesh. What we desire comes from our hearts so as long as our flesh controls our heart we will be subject to the lusts of our flesh. When the Spirit of God dwells in us we have the opportunity to surrender to God and allow His spirit to direct our hearts back to Him. We must understand that when we are born again we are born babes in Christ. We must grow and mature in His Spirit.

If we feed the Spirit our lives will grow spiritually. If we feed our flesh our lives will be subject to the corruption of our flesh. Without being born of the Spirit you will never receive that choice though. If you seek God He will reveal Himself to you and He will give you His Spirit. It is a promise that can not be taken away. You just have to seek Him. The apostles had to wait 50 days for them to receive the promise of the Spirit. Are you willing to wait for God to birth something in you that will fill you will a river of life that will never go dry. Seek receive the Spirit in this day. God bless you.

9And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:9-13

Water Baptism Ritual or Necessary?

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted togather in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Romans 6:3-7

Water baptism is more that a public showing of ones belief in God. It is more than just an insignifcant step in the believers rebirth experience. It has a special place in the eyes of God. When we repent our baptism is our watery grave and we are cleansed from our sins by the blood of the spotless Lamb of God (Jesus Christ). Water baptism cleanses our lives of the sins that have stained our existence. We are no longer bound to serving sin through Our faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for us washes in that watery grave. We are no longer bound to our past sins for Jesus has cleansed us through His sacrifice.

Many of us can not accept that water baptism is necessary but will take a shower everyday. You believe when you get in the shower that you are clean and you believe that it is necessary to take one to be clean but won't be baptized in the name of Christ to cleanse all your sins that are stained on your life. When we cleanse ourselves we will have to cleanse ourselves again but when we are baptized in Jesus we are no bound by our flesh but cleanse through His life once and for all our sins are forgiven.

I failed to see the importance of baptism for years. I thought it was just a public showing of my belief but God has shown me that it not for others it is for me. It is for me to cleanse from my sins and reborn in Him. Our sins are remitted through our death (our old lives die in the water) we are reborn to a newness of life. Tomw will be looking at the second part of the verse and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. God bless you.

"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh: and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." John 3:5-7

What are you married to?

But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites: 2Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. 3And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. 4For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. I Kings 11:1-4

King Soloman with all his wisdom could not defend himself against his weakness for strange women. He had 1,000 lovers and because he had so many to love his heart was turned from God. What are we married to? What has our hearts, God or the cares of this world? If we listed the things that we enjoy in this world many of us could match the list of Soloman's wives and concubines.

Television is not the problem but our faithfulness to our favorite shows can be. Sports is not the problem but our devotion to players and teams can be. The Internet is not the problem but our addiction to our favorite social website can be. Cellphones are not the problem but our constant need to use them can be. All this things are made not to have rule over us but for us to enjoy them in moderation. When we are addicted to things we worship things. We are enjoined to things and we turn our hearts from God. We are probed to abusing things that were created and We then neglect the Creator.

Solomon clave unto these in love

Soloman was not a fool but he was wise. He was the richest person in the world and his heart was driven to serve God. When we got old all those unhealthy relationships caught up with him. When I was young I could eat anything I wanted but as I have grown older how I treat my body catches up to me. What I put in me affects what comes out of me. So the question is are we feeding the spirit or the flesh? When we allow our fleshy desires to be continually be fed our spiritual desire for God is empty and we turn away from Him and become a slave to our lusts. That is what Soloman did. He fed his desire for loving his wives that eventually began to worship false gods. He was enslaved to his desires to love his wives instead of God.

When we love our shows, our social websites, our cellphones, our sports we will eventually find ourselves enslaved to serving them. We can't miss one episode we can't miss the game, we can't miss the text message, we are enslaved to the creation and it is impossible to serve the Creator as long as we are in bondage. We love these things so much that we are willing to sacrifice our relationship with God to stay married to them. This is a hard blog for me to write. God has spoken to me numerous times about different things that are in my life that turn me from Him and I can see the affect those things have on me the question I must answer is will I separate from my (wives) so that I can remain faithful to God? If is not enough to have all wisdom and be seperated from the Presence of God for my fellowship with my desire. Pray for me as I pray for you. God bless you.

9And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, 10And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded. I Kings 11:9-10

What is the point of Church?

6This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. Psalms 24:6

In my generation an issue has evident. Many young adults (18-35) have left the church or are in search of the "right church". What are we seeking to find though? We want a place where we can grow. We don't want to follow rules based on man's traditions. We have been wounded by the words of fellow believers so we want a place where we can be healed. We don't want to attend a "dead legalist" church that can't garner the presence of God. We want to be refreshed and fed the word of God. We want the truth not religion. The list goes on and on.

The question must be asked what is the point of Church? If there are so many problems why do we go? I remember going to a church where people attended just to network with others to increase their business. I been to a church where the preacher would say don't have permarital sex but I knew the people he was sleeping with and he was not married. I was told I was not going to heaven by numerous "saints" who knew nothing about me but felt they could judge me by their rules of righteousness. I have seen first hand the corruption that goes on behind the closed doors of churches. But why do I faithfully continue to go? It does not make sense. If I have seen so much that was not perfect why not join my generation and just leave the church?

The answer is simple. God had to reveal to me that He has placed me in the church not to be served but to serve. I don't go to church so that I can receive a fresh word from God. I go to share the word of God. I go to encourage not be encouraged. I don't submit myself to the church I submit myself to God. People see Christ through our submission to Him not man. I can see so many things wrong with the church but I wrestle not against flesh and blood (man). The only way things can change in the church is when I change. When I lay down my life (like Christ did) for the church. While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. While we yet see the problems in the church we must humble ourselves so that Christ can be seen through us. It is not until we humble ourselves in front of one another that the True Church can arise in our hearts. The church does not need anymore bright ideas or new methods it needs individuals that will walk in humility so that God can mend the wounds of the church.

God has placed you in your church to share Christ to world. Don't fight against the rules and church but submit yourself to God for only He has the ability to transform a dead church to a spirit filled body. Remember that church is not your life source, God is. Stop looking for church to meet your needs and seek the face of God(intimate relationship with God). The power comes not on Sunday but through our daily encounters with Jesus. We can't reach our divine destiny in God until we humble ourselves to God's placement and allow Him to move us not us move ourselves to where we want to go. He does not want us to worship a church building but Him. In this day let us commit ourselves back to Him and allow Him to place us in position in the body of Christ. Every body part serves the body part they are connected to. So much more to say. lol God bless you.

This is talking to married couples but it correlates to us and the church as well.

21Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. 22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Ephesians 5:21-25

The Free Gift (Love)

Easter is on Sunday. It is a time that many reflect on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. What a price He paid over 2000 years ago. God has given us a gift card. It will never expire. It will never reach its limit for it limitless. It is secured and sealed by the signature of His Spirit. We did not have to apply or qualify for this card it has a gift that transcends reasoning and qualifications. We just have to come and receive the gift that has our name on it. Jesus Christ our example of unconditional love has given us access to this Free gift through His eternal payment of His blood.

What is this gift? It is the gift of love. It is the source of life in the midst of death. It is the root of joy when our hearts have been filled with bitterness. The Love of God passeth all knowledge. The Love to lay down a guiltless life for the guilty. A Love that redeemed the unredeemable. A Love that satisfied the wages of my sins.

The Gift of Love is ours but will we accept it? Will we live to love or will we love to live? Our opportunity to live and use this Gift is in our hands. It has been entrusted to us, to give to others. Let us lay down our lives and be resurrected through His Love. He has given us so much let us give His Gift back to Him. Let us love one another. Let the Love of God dwell in our hearts. It is time to let go and Let God into our wallets, into our minds, into our hearts. He has a great purpose for all of us and it is to love one another as Christ has loved us. It is time to pull this gift out and use it. God bless you.

17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19

4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:4-5,8

11These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. 12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:11-13

7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. I John 4:7-12
