Fighting the truth

I am a fighter. Fighting can be a very useful gift to have when challenged in life. But I have grown so comfortable fighting against anything that tries to change me that I never find rest from fighting. When I see change I fight it so that I can keep my routine/life the way it is.

God has challenged me more than anything else to change. I have fought the change for many years. When He would tell me to stop doing something I fought against letting go of the habit. The more I fought to keep it the more stressed out I would become. God wanted me to not be a slave to my habits but I fought the truth. God was speaking to benefit me and free me but I stubbornly fought it. So I became my biggest hinderance from become who God wants me to be. I had to surrender to the truth. I had to throw in my towel and let every word that God spoke to me take root in my heart. Now when I surrender to Christ I am liberated. When we fight the truth we fight against our freedom. We fight against our peace and joy. Stop fighting the truth and let the truth take root in your heart. Your freedom awaits.

HSTC Book Excerpt - Molded to Deliver

MOLDED TO DELIVER

Many of us are bound by our past experiences; we are scarred and wounded from those trials. As the heat from the wilderness penetrates our skin, the bandages that covered our wounds no longer stick to us because of the sweat that we are releasing. Our wounds now are open and we are vulnerable in the wilderness. Initially, we begin to look for things that can cover our wounds, but find no sufficient substitute. Our wounds are completely exposed before God, but this allows Him to begin the true healing process. In our lives we want to walk in purpose, see miracles, and see God’s people delivered, but contradictorily we refuse to expose our wounds to God. When God sees our wounds, He heals them that we might be an example to others of His Power.

Those of us that God has purposed have no choice than to come to grips and admit that we need to be healed physically, emotionally, and spiritually; we have carried these scars for too long. As God takes us through the wilderness – with our scars exposed – we become emotionally detached from the hurt and pain that our past experiences imprinted on our hearts. We do not have to avoid our past, because we are no longer bound by it. Satan wants us to feel embarrassed about our past and present state, which literally shuts the door of growth to our future. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10) We can not forget that Jesus is in control. So, no matter what we have been through or are currently going through, He has orchestrated it for our good. We need not be ashamed, for it is through our situations that we receive our testimony. “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;” (II Timothy 1:8)

Our testimonies must be heard to set free those that are still bound by Satan’s lies. We are important to God and we are the chosen vessels that He is sending to deliver new wine to His people. “But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:” (Acts 9:15) There is no room for guilt, regrets, lusts and failures; we must make room for God’s new wine to dwell in us. When others drink of His wine, they will taste what has been missing from their lives and be made whole. We must endure the wilderness not for us to be blessed, but so that others might see – through our lives – and glorify the Father through the Son. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”(John 14: 12-13) After Jesus has dealt with the wounds of our past we then can become equipped for our future.

Open Book

Open the Book. Open your heart. Many times we don't confront what has happened in our past we leave the chapters of our past closed. Opening the book does not mean to live wounded but let the wounds of our past be healed. So that we can move forward. It is hard to deal with our wounds because they are so sensitive to touch. How can we help others that are lame and wounded if we are still crippled from ours? We can't. Give God your book. Give Him your past so that He can give you your future. When we are in God's hands we are empowered by Him and we overcome our past. As an overcomer we can then look back and not be hurt by what we see but it actually mends the wounds of others that we share our past with. I am a witness of this. My wounds and scars have given comfort to people that are hurting in their present. So when I share with them my past it heals their wounds. Our lives are an open book in the eyes of God. He desires for us to open ourselves to Him so that He can heal the wounds of others through us. God bless you.

In sickness and in health

Today I woke up not feeling well. But through it all I am so thankful that God has been with me all day. Many times we want to sit in our sickness but when we sit in it we don't get better. In Christ I have learned to value Him more than my circumstances. Jesus takes care of me when I am in good health and when I am sick. Thank God for His grace for it covers me when I am down. I love Him not for what He does but for who He is. Praise God in what state you are in, for His goodness remains unchanged. Lift up your hands and give God your all for He has given His all for us. God bless you.

Take a Break

As emotions arise and tempers flare I am gently remained by God to "take a break". As human beings we can get so frustrated and emotional about the small issues that we make them big issues. The more frustrated we become the more the problem remains in our life. When God sees us in a position of frustration He does what any good boss would do He advices us to take a break. We must take a break from our problems, from our work and take rest in the break room. The break room releases our minds from the chaos that is going on in our lives and allows our minds to find rest. Taking a break from our problems does not mean avoid our problems but to take a rest so that we can be renewed and empowered to handle them. God gives us rest to recharge us so that we can finish the course strong. In every aspect of life we need a break to be renewed in God so that we have the right perspective in handling the responisbilities that we are given. In everyday don't forget to take your break for it will allow you to finish your day strong.

Read the word of God. Pray to God. Sing to God. Talk about God to someone. Take a break from your life and rest your mind in God. God bless you.

Unlocking the Dream

Even if you did not know it you are a dreamer. The world is full of people that have never unlocked their dream. They have settled for the reality they see placing more chains on the dream that they are made to fulfill. How sad it is that we have chained the thing that was made to set us free. Our dream seems impossible to the natural eye but deep down we know that it is possible. Many times we are molded by others to let go of our dreams and follow the reality that is set before us. With all the layers of vanity pasted to our lives we are bound to a life that is not really us. Then our only freedom comes as we sleep, living in a dream world that is so far fetch that we could never utter its contents. When we open our eyes we go back to our bondage and forget the dream world as we survive the ups and downs of life.

I want to be free. I want to live the dream. I am tired of the voices of others discouraging me from becoming what I was created to be. I am letting the dream out of its cell. It will lead me to my destiny. A destiny filled with promises and blessings. I am excited to be able to follow the dream. We must place the key to our dream in the hands of Christ so that the dream remains free even when our excitement diminishes and we want to give up. Christ will not let us give up. He will patiently persuade us to move forward and take courage in our storms. Christ makes the impossible things of this world possible. Give your dream back to Christ for He knows how to make your dream come true. God bless you.

It is time to live

It is time to live. We have no more space for fear, doubt and worries. It is time to live. What we feel can no longer determine our actions. It is time to live. We will not run from the truth anymore. It is time to live. We will not hate or be unforgiving. It is time to live. We will not abuse our bodies anymore. It is time to live. Our past won't hang over heads like a stormy cloud. It is time to live. We will not be consumed in our desires and lusts. It is time to live. We will leave what is comfortable and cleave to discomfort. It is time to live. We will go blind to the world and be enlighten to God. It is time to live.

If you know what you are supposed to do. DO IT! God has made you for your calling and now it is time to live in what God has for you. Don't think, ponder or look for a sign, Just release yourself into the arms of God and let God work through you. God has something special for you to do. But you must DO IT. It is time to live a life doing what we are made to do. God bless you.

Appearances can be deceiving

The enemy is busy. He uses our senses against us to make us to doubt what God has spoken over our lives. Our peace, joy, happiness, health, dreams, relationships and possessions are all vulnerable when he comes into our lives with his tricks. What we see or feel can deceive us from the truth. We are not subject to the devil but rather he subject to our God. Our God is greater and His word is greater than what we see or feel.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7

Hold your peace when it seems like your world is falling apart. If you believe what you see you are being deceived. Your world is not falling apart God is just taking you to another level of trusting Him. Don't give up because of the appearances but stay strong on what God has spoken over your life.

I am learning that it takes strength to stay committed to plan of God when it seem to lead to destruction. When we hold our peace God reveals Himself but we act out of fear because of what we see we miss the revelation of God's power in our life. Don't be deceived God is for you not against you. Don't trust your eyes, trust God. He moves according to our dependance and faith in Him. God bless you.

Recorded Voice

Most of us love some form of music. Music changes our moods and attitudes. Music can medicine when our bodies are in pain or when we are sick. But there is no greater music than the recorded voice of God that speaks to our heart in the chaotic storms of life. Can you hear the voice of God speaks peace and love in your heart? God continues to comfort us even when we do not look for His comfort. He tells us we are going to make when we think we won't. He is speaking and waiting for us to rest in His voice. Like your favorite song or cd God's word has been recorded so that we can lean on His voice at all times. No matter if we are in a storm or if the sun is shining His voice meets us where we are. Turn on His recorded voice (open up His word) let it be what comforts you and changes your reality for His word is not a temporary solution it is an eternal remedy. We are changed by His words and give new life. Let this be the day that you hear His recorded voice for it will meet you where you are. God bless you.

Dating in the Dark tv show

I watched a new show last night called "dating in the dark" It literally is a blind date. You don't see the person you are meeting at all. The people on the show shared their hearts to one another and connected with each other without knowing what the other person looks like. After a couple of dates they must reveal what they look like to the other person and then determine if they want to pursue a relationship after the show. One woman was initmate with a man that she really was interested in but after she saw what he really look like she wanted nothing to do with him.

Is that how we treat Jesus? When we are alone in the dark we are receptive of the voice of God. It comforts us in spite of our dark circumstances. We cleave to His presence and are drawn by every word He speaks. In our desperate times Jesus is our best friend. We are so passionate and in love with just spending time with Him. We feel so alive in the midst of chaos because of Him.

What happens though when the lights come on? When Jesus reveals Himself do we find Him to be attractive? In the midst of heartache He is our hero but what happens when we are not in the dark and everything is well in our life? It is our choice if we will continue our relationship with Jesus after we have been delivered from darkness. It is our choice if we will be as passionate for His presence when we are not in the midst of a storm. Jesus is waiting for us to choose to pursue a deeper relationship with Him. Jesus is not flashy and captivating like the pleasures of the world. But Jesus loves us unconditionally. He accepts our flaws and our good quality the same. He is not impressed by our beauty but rather our heart. Jesus wants us because He loves us. Will we turn and walk away from Him when we are healed and delivered from our dark situations? It is our choice. My choice is Christ. I want Him because unlike the world He loves me. God bless you.

HSTC Excerpt - The Trap of Emotions

THE TRAP OF EMOTIONS

It is painful to see people bound by circumstances and not be permitted to share what God has revealed to us. However, we don’t have the authority to choose who or when God liberates people through us. It is in God’s hands so that we don’t emotionally pursue things that God has not given to us. We must continually pursue the Presence of God in all that we do so we don’t make the mistake of falling out of the Will of God, even though our intentions seem innocent. In the Word of God, we see Peter’s emotions controlling his actions a number of times.

“From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” (Matthew 16:21-24)

Jesus had just blessed Peter and told him that he would give unto him the keys to the kingdom. After the disciples began to learn of Jesus’ coming death, Peter heard those piercing words from the Lord and he could not contain his emotions. Peter did not want his Hero to suffer and die, so he allowed his emotions to overtake him, which opened the door to being controlled by his flesh. Peter had forsaken everything he knew to follow Jesus and he could not imagine being separated from his friend. Naturally, no one wants to lose a loved one, but we can not let our feelings get in the way of fulfilling our purpose nor hindering anyone else’s. Our emotions, like Peter’s, can lead us astray from the Plan of God because we do not want to subject ourselves to pain.

Peter submitted himself to Jesus when everything was going good, but when Jesus began to speak about suffering, Peter wanted to take control. He got an attitude with the Plan of God; he was not going to allow his friend to subject himself to an undeserved suffering. As Peter did, we try to talk to Jesus and reason with Him, because we do not understand the path that God takes us through; we want to take back control of our lives and try to look for another way to accomplish God’s purpose. Instead of surrendering to God, we surrender to our emotions, allowing our flesh to dictate our actions. Our flesh does not want to subject us to the suffering required to reap spiritual growth in God. However, we must deny our emotions and follow the Spirit of God wherever and however He leads.

No Words fall

Samuel was a man of character. Though he witnessed corruption under the ministry of Eli, he remained strong in his service to God. A major excuse that I hear a lot for why people don't service God is because they have seen the corruption in the church. They feel that no one is geniune and that it is all evil. But that excuse really just shows our immaturity. It is not about others it is about us. God has called us and we don't have to worry about what others are doing. Samuel did not worry about Eli for he was consumed in servicing God with his whole heart. Because of such loyalty and character the bible says that God did not let one word that Samuel spoke fall to the ground. And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. I Samuel 3:19 We must understand that God has promised us the same thing if we love Him more than anything else. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7 God wants to work in our lives. He wants to reveal Himself strong in us. Think about it if every word is in God's hand nothing will fall. That is what I want. I want my life to be in His hands not mine. I want to place my heart, my dreams, my desires in His Hands and live a life that draws others to His Glory. It is not about works or rituals to receive the promise it is about faith and relationship. When we are receptive to God's Word He then can abide in our words. He abides where He is received. God has so much in store for us let us give God our heart and honor Him with our words and He will establish His kingdom in us. God bless you.

Empty cup

If you have a full cup you have no need to be filled. God wants to fill our cup/life but if we are full of our ideas and wisdom we do not have the capacity to receive the fresh oil that He desires to fill us with. If we think we know God how can we learn from God. We already assume that God is going to work a certain way we won't expect anything new to occur. We must come to God empty so that He can give us a fresh perspective of who He is. Every morning is a new opportunity to rediscover the Greatness of our God. When we go to sleep we wake up with an appettite for food. What if we were hungry for God like we are food in the morning, what could God teach us in that day? Empty your cup whatever you think let it go so that God can reveal Himself to you all over again. I want a fresh perspective of God and I want to bathe in His Presence. God is good let us open our eyes to the world that He wants to reveal to us. Let go of your routines, ways and thoughts and be filled with the wisdom, Presence of God. God bless you.

Make me Free

31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 36If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:31-32,36

When God speaks truth into our lives we have a choice to make. Will we allow His truth to mold us and change us or will we continue to do what we are doing? So many times I have heard God tell me something but I did not want to change. I did not want to accept the truth. Not understanding that God spoke to me to free me not bind me. God wants us to be liberated in Him. He wants us to live in liberty but if we don't listen to Him we will never experience liberty. I have been a slave to my routines, habits, and thoughts for too long and I refuse to live bound anymore. I want to grow in Christ and live in the freedom that He has promised me. We must be made free by His Word and Presence. As we stand confronted by His Truth let us allow His truth to free us. Don't resist the truth but embrace it. God bless you.

The Great Listener

Have you ever wanted to talk to someone but had no one to talk to? Maybe you do find someone to talk to but they don't listen at all. I have found that God is the Great Listener. God listens to me even when I am hurt and when I am happy. He always has an ear open to my voice. Morning, noon or night He is waiting there for me to open up to Him. A lot of times I would depend on others to listen to me and understand what I am going through. Sometimes they judge me sometime they misunderstand me but they really can't help me with my issues. I need the Ear of God. I need someone that can help change my situations. People can not handle what I must confess but God can. His Ear is waiting to take my burdens and free me to receive His Presence and Grace. It is amazing to have a conversation with someone and they don't condemn you but encourage you. God is the Great Listener that we must learn to open our hearts to. He wants to know what you are going through. Our temptations, our frustrations, our pain, our excitement and our joy. Share your heart with God for He waiting to hear your voice. God bless you.

Teach me Your ways

Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. Psalm 86:11

No matter what we think we don't know everything. We need to be taught how to love, how to forgive, how to live. We need to know God's ways. God has so much to teach us but we have to be willing to let down our wisdom so that He can give us His wisdom. Our minds must be renewed in Christ. We have to be reprogrammed to live in the grace of God. God's ways are not common and they make us uncomfortable but when we yield to His ways we can learn to live beyond our limitations. We can learn to love someone that has hurt us. We can learn to forgive people that don't deserve our forgiveness. God ways draws us away from selfishness to selflessness. The more we learn from Christ the more we resemble His Image. Let us turn our hearts and minds to God so that we can receive all that God has for us. God ways surpasses our past experiences, they defy the laws of nature. Naturally it is impossible to love someone that hates you but in Christ we learn how to love in spite of hate. God's unconditional love can change any situation let us yield ourselves to His loving ways so that our homes, communities, schools, churches, jobs can be filled with His love. God bless you.

Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end. Psalm 119:33

I pray that we turn to God and allow His love to teach us. I pray that we become great students of God so that people can see God working through us. I pray that we love in this day. I pray that those that are sick and afflicted be healed in the name of Christ Jesus. I pray that our sins be forgiven as we forgive those that have hurt us. I pray for those that are lost that they find Christ and receive Him right now. Amen

In need of a Sword

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Ephesians 6:17

I was cutting grass the other day and I was convicted in my spirit. I was thinking about all the negative comments people have spoken to me recently. Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: Psalm 64:3 As I reflected on their comments God spoke to my heart what sword are you carrying. People's words can hurt and discourage but their words don't last. Only God's Word last forever. Only what He has spoken to me matters. When I am carrying His Sword it destroys the swords of men. When you move the s in sword to the back to reads words. We can not allow people's words to cause us to fear and not believe in God. God has called us to live for Him not for man. We have to know His word if we want to combat the words that are spoken over us everyday. His Words will bring life and peace to us. Let us yield our hearts to God and allow Him to equip us with His Sword. We must live armed with the Word of God if we are to walk in liberty and victory in this life. God bless you.

Answering the Hard Questions

Last week after I finished speaking at a meeting. A mother came up to me looking for answers. Four years ago she lost her husband and her son has not taken the lost well. He has not step into a church since and lives in solitude. She asked "What can I do or say to help him to move forward and let go of the anger?" I stood there in silence. I did not have the answer. In my heart I asked God what do you want me to say to this women that is desperate for change. God's reply "Be honest and show compassion." The very thing I had just spoke about is the same thing God wanted to sow into that mother's heart. We can not force people to let go of the pain of losing a loved one. We can not preach the grief off of them. But we can be transparent showing them that we hurt and bleed just like them and we don't know all the answers but Christ does. The mother had grown stronger in her relationship with Christ through losing her husband and desperately wanted her son to let Christ in his heart. When we lose someone preaching to them about Christ usually does not work but showing them Christ does. People need to see Christ and Him alone. In showing people compassion we allow God's love to be seen through us. Compassion is not sympathy it is being moved by someone else pain and showing unconditional love to them. I told the mother to be strong continue to trust God and turn your son over to Him. When we get out of the way God moves. The answers to the tough questions are found in Christ. Let His light/love shine through you. God bless you.

If you have lost hope in God and you are upset at Him. I challenge you to to confess your feelings and emotions to Him. Don't hold them in but release your emotions to God. It changed my life and i know that it can change yours too. Email me at egardner@pwpublish.com if you want to talk to me. God bless you.

Excerpt from HSTC - Turning from our "Eliab"

TURNING FROM OUR “ELIAB”
For others, unfortunately, it is bewildering and upsetting to see us changing while they are not. They devalue our growth in God, and try to “chip away” at our spiritual armor. Their goal is to see us revert back to our old self and our old ways, so they can justify that ultimately, we have not changed.

“And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle. And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause? And he turned from him toward another, and spake after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner.” (I Kings 17:28-30)

In this relationship between brothers, Eliab did not see the greatness in David. He just saw his little brother; in his ignorance he devalued the future King of Israel. Eliab actually witnessed David being anointed by Samuel to be King (I Samuel 16:13), but he wanted to keep David in the position He had always known him to be in. Eliab was blinded to David’s relationship with God, and for that reason, he confused David’s confidence in God for youthful pride. Through David’s response, we see that Eliab most likely made a habit of accusing David of being mischievous and having a naughty heart. Nevertheless, David had no time to justify himself to his older brother; Eliab would never understand what God was about to do through David. David had to prepare himself for battle, so he turned away from his brother and turned towards his destiny. Little did they know, Eliab and the rest of Israel were going to see God’s delivering power through a “ruddy” young man that was after God’s heart.

We must turn from our “Eliab” and set our faces toward our divine destiny. Our lives can not be consumed with trying to justify ourselves to others, but it must be in submission to our relationship with God. God had communed with David so much (in the wilderness while he was watching the sheep), that David had time to see the power of God. Eliab looked at David’s job of watching the few sheep in the wilderness as something small and insignificant, but David was not alone he was with God.
Though others might place a reproach on the things we are doing, it is fortunately an opportunity for God to commune with us alone. He places us where our relationships and their influence have no power, which allows us to meet Our Father and learn to depend on Him solely. Our parents can’t come to the rescue in the wilderness, and our friends can’t give us their words of encouragement and support. We are alone with God as He unravels our past and shows us our destiny in Him. He shows us that our importance does not come from the relationships we have with people, but it comes from our relationship with Him.

Comfort in the midst of a storm

Have you ever lost someone that had your heart? Maybe a friend, parent or child. What do you do when you are left without their touch? Yesterday I was asked to share my experience of losing my mother when I was 12 years old. As I sat and listened to the events that happened to others. I could hear the pain of their lost. But it was not a sad occasion but it was a release. As I sat there God spoke to my heart a scripture. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. John 16:7 The disciples were about to face life without their Master Jesus. They loved Jesus but He had to leave so that the Comforter could come to them. In the midst of their lost God sent them a Comforter. God refuses to leave us comfortless in the midst of trials and sorrow. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:18 You see God comfort is evident in our lost. Sorrow and grief comes but when we confess our hearts to God He sends His comfort into our lives and we are empowered by His presence.

24But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God. John 20:24-28

When Jesus rose from the grave Thomas did not believe that it happened. He said he would not believe unless he touch the wounds in his hands. When Jesus appeared to him Jesus said touch my wounds and scars and after Thomas touched him He glorifed God. Our wounds are there for unbelievers to see Christ. When they touch our wounds they are touching Christ. We are new in Christ. Old things have passed away and all things have become new. So as we yield our lives to God He transforms us into His image and the pain of the wounds is gone and It can now comfort those that are in the midst of a storm. We all have experienced pain but I pray that we turn our hearts to Christ that He can use our situations to bless someone else. God bless you.

Let Go and Let God

I wanted to share a song that has blessed me so much over couple of years. When we let go and get out of the way God truly does work in our lives. I am a witness of His amazing healing and restoring power. If you are struggling with something today give it to God and Let Him have control of your life. God bless you.

A Life Changing Habit

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. I Peter 5:6-7

It is funny how many times I have found myself burdened by work and responsibities. I desire to be relieved of the burden but can't seem to get free. Then as I feel I am about to be overwhelmed I do something so simple. I pray. I confess my worries, fears, and stress to God and when I am done the burden has been lifted. I always look back and wonder why I allow the burden to get so heavy. Why do I continue to had weight to my life.

A lot of people are struggling with weight problems. They can't seem to lose the weight they have gained. Well the solution I found was not a diet, or workout plan. It was simply listening and obeying the voice of God. Prayer allowed me to release the stress and fears I was carrying and through that release my body was able to release the excess fat that was in me. Working on the inner man is the key to seeing a change on the outside. The closer we draw closer to God and open the line of communication with Him the more we don't have to carrying the weights of our life. I lost a lot of weight and it was not easy; it was painful. When I look back at the change that God made on the inside of me I am so thankful for His grace and mercy. Now I can eat things with a clear conscience for I know that food is not the problem my heart was. We all have weak moments when we crave something but know that desire will pass if you resist it. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 God loves you and wants you to let go of the weight you been carrying. Pray, confess, and cry out to Him and watch this simple habit change your life. God bless you.

Serve the Lord with gladness

Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Psalm 100:2

Martha was served Jesus but how she served Him was burdensome to her. She was not happy and she became frustrated in her service to Jesus. Let us serve God not through works but rather through faith. Let our lives desire to do whatever God tells us to do. If we are to help someone in need don't do it out of obligation but rather through love and compassion. Serving God should bring excitement and liberty not bondage. Be excited to serve God and let His plans become your plans. For in Him we find true peace and contentment. God bless you.

Believing in God

There are many that don't believe there is a God and that we just evolved over time. In not believing in God a god is created. My dictionary defines God as A: the maker and ruler of the world: Supreme Being B: a being thought of as superior to nature and to human beings and considered worthy of worship. C: idol, person or thing worshiped like a god; person intensely admired and respected.

Because we can not see God we don't believe in God. We see ourselves so we believe in ourselves. We believe we are the ruler of "our world/life". We create our future and we don't need a book(bible) to tell us what to do. We are too smart to believe in the foolishness of an invisible God that has some divine plan for our lives. The funny thing is that the people I know that don't believe in God know more bible scriptures than believers. Why seek for answers if it is foolishness what keeps a nonbeliever continually seeking for answers in life. What if it is not foolishness?

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. I Corinthians 1:18-21

What if God really does exist and He has created us? What if He is more than a religion that is filled with rituals and works? What if God is not in the church but rather He exist in all things even in you? So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27

What if God is Love? What if you could see God in the faces of your love ones? What if He created you to love Him and the people in this world?

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. I John 4:7-12

I don't know but I believe God is more than a mean tyrant that kills people for not being perfect. I believe in a God that desires for me to live an extraordinary life and has forgiven me for not loving people but rather just loving myself. I believe God has purposed me to live a life filled with loving people and making a positive impact on the next generation. I don't write to condemn but to encourage. If we really are honest with ourselves we could see that we don't know everything as humans. We have no cure for many diseases though we spend billions of dollars looking for the cure. What if the cure is found in Christ? Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. Jeremiah 33:6 I was healed not through medicine but through faith in Christ. Not that I am any better than anyone else but because He purposed me to testify of His healing power. I have looked for the answers and I have found that they all lead to Christ. It is time to let go of control and believe in God. God gives us true liberty that is not bound by fears and circumstances. Let go and Let God reveal Himself to you. God bless you.

Come out of the bubble

It is time to come out of the bubble that we have created. We must expose ourselves to the life that Chirst sacrificed His life so that we could possess. We must stop basing our decisions on our circumstances and emotions. It is not about what we feel it is about what we believe. If we believe God to be the creator of life and the all powerful; let Him be. If we believe He is a healer of all diseases and sickness; let Him be. We must stop feeling hopeless and believe in God. God will only do what we believe He can do. It is according to our faith that we receive our breakthrough. Breakthrough the bubble of normality and step into the extraordinary life God has for you. It will change your life. God bless you.

Stripped of my gift to receive His Gift - testimony

Before my wilderness experience, I wrote poetry and short stories that expressed my feelings and showed my talent to others. I loved to receive adoration and praise for my writing talent. I used charming words to manipulate people a certain way. I knew that I was talented and felt that no one could ever say anything negatively about my writings. But while in the wilderness I met Jesus and the first thing that happened when I received Him was I got writer’s block. I could not understand it. I had so much to express about my new life in God but could not get the words on paper. After a couple of years God opened it up so that I could write but now it was His words not mine. It was His understanding not mine. When I tried to write with my own strength I would fail miserably. God had to take away my writing gift so that I could be humbled to know that only His words mattered. He exposed me to the flaw in my writing which was self pride0. Now when I write I am dependant on God to give me the words to write. I wait on Him to open up my understanding and lean on Him to write through me. God wants to use those, whose desire is for Him to be glorified through their gifts.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4

In this day take time to behold the beauty of God. The Glory of God is beautiful but it is easy to miss His beauty in the chaos of the day and don't take time to behold Him. We regard our problems, our beauty, our failures, our love ones, and our lives each day but fail to behold to amazing beauty of God. We must desire to see God for who He is. He is our Creator, He is our Savior, He is our Healer, He is our Redeemer, He is our Father, He is our Comfort and Supply, He is our Life, He is everything, He is our God. Let us look up and behold the beauty that is before us. God is good and is worthy of all the Glory and Honor. God bless you.

Chosen and Ordained

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16

We did not chose God, God chose us and has ordained us to be fruitful. When God created Adam and Eve, He told them to be fruitful. If God has chosen us He has also equipped us with the necessary ingredients to be fruitful. We must embrace our calling and allow God to direct our steps into becoming fruitful in this earth. Don't settle for less than greatness. Don't regard your circumstances but rather yield your life unto God and watch Him manifest a harvest before your eyes. We must remember that God chose us the way we are (gifts, talents, weaknesses). We need Christ working in us for us to be fruitful. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. John 15:8-10 We are chosen by God to show the world the Glory of our Heavenly Father. We have been chosen to love. Love your neighbor, your children, your spouse, your parents, your family, your friends and enemies for it is through His Love that the world will see God. God bless you.

These things I command you, that ye love one another. John 15:17

Reading His Writing

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;" Hebrews 12:2

Our lives have been written in heaven. God has started and finished His divine plan through His Son Jesus Christ and now we must read His writing that He has left us that we might follow His perfect example. To know who we are we must know who He is. Without Jesus our lives are meaningless. Yes we can have material wealth and possessions but good will it be when we die. What do we receive in Christ? Look at this verses

I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. John 6:51

I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 10:9

I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11:25-26

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. John 15:7-8

Do you know really know Jesus? Have you read His words? His words bring life to all that believe. We must read His writings and allow His word to be saturated on our hearts that we can become witnesses of His power and promises. We need God so much in our lives. Let us abide in His word and living in the promises of God. God bless you.
