Seated in Heavenly Places

These our notes from a teaching I did for our Youth Service today. God bless you. 18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Ephesians 1:18-20

Step 1: Sit Down

We have to humble ourselves and let us sit down at the feet of Jesus and watch Him work supernaturally through us. Let us believe in Jesus and see Him manifest miracles before our eyes.

Step 2: Be Quiet, Listen and Believe

We can be so busy trying to serve God that we never take time to hear His Voice. Martha served Jesus but Mary sat at the feet of Jesus and listen to Him. "But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken from her. Luke 10:42 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4. Our one desire should be to be in His Presence attentive to the Voice of our God. To be saturated by the words of our God. To be filled with faith.

Step 3: Do What He Says

Sitting at Jesus' feet builds our faith and protects us from the enemy. Every time fear comes it must be met at the door by faith. Our obedience to what God speaks to us allows us to see the manifestation of His supernatural miracles. John 2:5Whatever Jesus tells us to do. Let us DO IT. It is for our benefit.

High Risk, High Reward

When you invest into stock if a stock the higher the risk the greater the potential margin of gain you have. Most rational people avoid the risky stocks because they are unpredictable and have a chance of losing you a great deal of money. They invest in "safe stock" which won't lose their money but also won't give them very much in return. But some people place their trust in the riskier stocks so no matter if it is up or down they keep their invested interest in the stock having confidence that it will bring them great gain.

God spoke to me that many christians are playing it "safe" they don't want to risk losing all they have so they don't pursue after the things God has purposed in their heart. We don't want to expose ourselves to lack even it the reward is greater for we are afraid of losing what we have. 18And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
20Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
21And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
22Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
23And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
24And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! Luke 18:18-24

What did he lack? He lacked faith. He trusted in all his works and riches but never trusted in God. Many christians are living according to the laws of God but have no faith in God. We can be consumed with doing the work of God without investing our hearts to God. It is nice to keep the commandants but if you don't walk in faith it is impossible to please God. He did not want to give up everything and risk not getting it back. Most christians are too afraid to step out on faith because of the uncertainity that lies ahead with following Christ. God's "stock" never crashes it always endures. Nothing can be more secure than Him but because we don't trust Him our loyalty to Him is dependant on our natural circumstances. God desires us to sow our lives in faith, trusting that what we sow He will prosper. Let us trust God and commit our lives to Him He will not fail us but prosper us. When we walk in faith forsake the "safe way" we are promised a great reward.

28Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. 29And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, 30Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting. God has manifold more for those that trust Him and walk according to His ways. Let us follow the lead of God and walk into all that God has for us .
God bless you.

Shall He find faith?

7And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:7-8

Many of us having been praying and crying to God for Him to move in our lives. As the days go by it sometimes feels like He is not going to come to our rescue. But God hears our cry before we even utter them. He knows what we need and what we expect it is certain that He will come and fulfill every promise. But what He desires is to find us still believing in Him. Will we endure our trials unto our Just Judge comes to our rescue or will we lose hope in our Savior? Jesus desires for us to hold onto our faith we must be strengthened through our test and be equipped with patience that endures until the end. 2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:2-4
No matter what may happen we must hold to our faith. When Jesus comes let Him find faith in your heart not doubt. God bless you.

Walking through fear

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalms 23:4

The enemy wants us to be paralyzed in our fears that we can never get to the table that God has prepared for us. God has something special for each of us. But our faith in God will be tried as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Our faith in God opens a pathway where our fears and evil can't touch us. Like when Moses put out his rod and the Red Sea open for the children of Israel. God has a rod that no enemy can defeat. Don't be afraid of the terror of night for God is our protection. It is time for us to walk into all that God has for us and receive the blessings and goodness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God is with us and we have nothing to fear in His presence. Fear comes on all of us but we can overcome our fears through our faith in Jesus Christ and receive His presence over our lives. God bless you.

5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Psalms 23:5-6

Men/Women SIT DOWN!!

And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. John 6:10

We want to see God's provision. We want to see His abundant supply overtake us. Well if we want to see His provision one thing we must do is SIT DOWN!! We have to stop trying to make our ways prosperous and allow God the opportunity to meet our needs. SIT DOWN on your ideas, SIT DOWN on your ambitions, SIT DOWN on your business plans and subumit your heart and minds to Christ. Jesus with those five words feed five thousand men. He will take what you have and multiply it. We have to stop working and let God work through us. It is not how much you work that brings supernatural blessings it is how much you believe in Jesus Christ. Then said they unto him, What shall we do. that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. John 6:28-29 Let us sit down to our flesh and watch His spirit begin to fill our hunger and desires with His riches. It is not what we have that makes us anything it is Who we have. Jesus Christ desires to work in and through us but we must sit at His feet and allow our belief in His life to work supernaturally through us. God bless you.

The Wall of Separation

Today in Sunday School I had a student talk about feeling like they can't connect with God. That they don't know where to start with Him. She felt that there is this huge wall separating her from God. The things that she goes through she feels that God is punishing her. I could see her passion for the truth. A passion that desire to see the manifested Presence of God. She is not alone though. We all are in need of His presence.

And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. II Corinthians 3:13-18

The enemy wants us to look at the wall and believe that we will never find access to the Presence of God. The enemy does not care if we hear about God. He just does not want us to hear God. He does not want us to know that God never condemns He forgives. That God is for us not against us. The enemy wants to destroy us so that we don't become aware of who God is and His unfailing love. It is time for us realize that the wall of separation is already destroyed. And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. Mark 15:38 It was destroyed by Jesus Christ. He paid the price for our freedom. Don't let the enemy deceive you into thinking that you can not have a relationship with God. God desires you. He knows your mistakes and past. He knows something you don't know He knows your future.

Let His love reign in your heart that you can be a shining light to a generation that yearns to know the God you serve. The wall has been destroyed confess your need for God and He will reveal His Presence to you. God bless you.

Why call Him Lord?

46And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
47Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. Luke 6:46-49

This is one of the most powerful verses in the Bible to me. It is not enough to hear God's word we have to obey God's word. When God gives us a word He gives it to us for our protection, for our benefit. So when the storm comes we can be planted and unmoved by the floods of life. When we don't live according to His word our lives end up falling apart. The results are up to us.

For Jesus to be our Lord we have to allow His words to reign in our lives. Whatever happens our trust in in our Lord Jesus Christ. When we are rooted in Him we can not be moved. For He is unmovable. Life can be simple if we just listen and do what Jesus Christ tells us to do.

Let God reign in your heart that you can be empowered to live out your divine purpose. God bless you.

Faith Walk

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:7

This faith walk is not easy. It can be very challenging and the obstacles can seem overwhelming. When we look to the right and to the left what we see fights what we believe. Our faith is challenged by our natural senses and if we allow them to they will cause us to doubt our beliefs. We will start to question if God really will come through on our behalf. And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. Luke 6:12 Our dependance on God can be shaken but we must take courage and go pray on our mountain. Go pray on the very thing that is causing us to waver and doubt. Our prayers with strength us to be strong and be of good courage. We will receive understanding of the plan of God and we will have confidence to take the next step in faith. We have to remain focus on what is ahead if we look to the left or right we will stumble and fall. Every step we take forward is a step closer to our promise land. The enemy wants us to look around but God wants us to keep our eyes on Him. Only Christ can bring us into all that He has for us. Don't settle for where you are, take the step of faith towards your destiny. God bless you.

Falling is not the end it is the beginning

For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. Proverbs 24:16

My oldest son came home the other day and told me that he fell while playing football with other boys. He said that it hurt but he got up and started playing again. When I was a child I fell all the time. I fell out of a tree (that hurt), I fell off my bike (that always hurt), I fell playing sports. But every time I fell I got back up and kept playing.

In our lives as we grow and mature situations occur that sometimes cause us to fall or stumble. Mistakes are always present when we are learning something new. It is apart of the process of growing. The enemy wants us concentrate on the pain the fall causes. He wants us to wallow in our mistake. But God wants us to get up and persevere through our mistake and keep living. Life has its ups and downs but what distinguishes those that are great is their ability to move forward. We can’t change our mistakes but we can get up and leave our failure in the past. Our mistake will not leave us we have to leave it. Falling does not define us, God does. We have to permit God’s Grace and Mercy to transform our failures into success stories. When we are in the lowest pit God’s Arm of Redemption is waiting to draw us out of our mess and bring us into His Presence not to condemn us but to cleanse us. God forgets our sins when we repent and receive His Grace. God will make our mistake into a testimony of His Saving Power if we allow Him.

If you have fallen and you feel like you can’t get up. Repent (Turn to God) and cry out to Him. He will redeem you. He will restore you and He will save you. Don’t let your mistakes and failures to keep you from enjoying a life made more abundant in Christ. Christ loves you and desires to shower you with His grace but you have to receive it. The choice is yours. Stay in the pit of failure that condemns binding you in your fears or get out by the Grace of God and enjoy a life free from condemnation and fear. You can begin again. God bless you.

Thinking is not Believing

Wisdom does not come by thinking but by faith. Salvation does not come by thinking we are saved. It comes by believing we are saved through Jesus Christ. Our thoughts can change at anytime but our beliefs are imprinted on our hearts. Our circumstances don't change until we believe that they can change. Healing is possible through faith. Deliverance is possible through faith. Salvation is possible through faith. Once I had an illness that I suffered with for about three years. I would go to church every sunday and in my mind I thought I was healed but the illness remained. I would get so frustrated because I thought I was believing God for healing but it never came. I continued to take medicine to cope with my illness but it only numb the pain as I endured the affliction. Then one day God gave me a word and I believed in my heart that I was healed. I stopped taking medicine and began to live according to my faith that I was healed. The moment I believed was the moment I believed and the fearful thoughts we cast out of me. You know what I have been healed for about seven years now. God healed me when I believed His word and received my healing. God moves on our faith not our thoughts. If we want to see our mountains move let us believe God and watch His power move every obstacle out of our way.

"16And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
17Then Jesus answered and said,
O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
18And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
19Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
21Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
(Matthew 17:16-21)Prayer and fasting builds mountain moving faith God bless you.

A Life to Remember

In our lives we can be so consumed with trying to survive that we miss the "little" great things that occur daily. My children learn something new and love to share their new experiences with me but am I listening to them? Life is not about surviving it is about living. I don't want my children to remember all the cars, houses, and businesses that I have. All that stuff is temporary but love last forever. I want them to remember that I love them. No matter what they go through I want them to know that their father loves them. As parents we get frustrated by the loss of our identity in raising our children. It seems as though our parent role never takes a break. We must realize that we are sowing into their future. Every meal that we prepare, every diaper that we change, every mess that we clean up, every tear that we wipe away is sowing into the harvest of love that will come in the future. Let us love not in word but in deed. Our role in their future is vital for them to experience the life changing love of Jesus Christ. If we don't love our children they will learn how to love from the world. They will learn the conditional love that fades away when trouble arises. They must see unconditional love through us. Let our lives be remembered by the love we show. It is a life worth living for. God bless you.

I am what I am

"For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me."I Corinthians 15:9-10

God is so good to us. He loves us in spite of all our flaws and failures. Sometimes arrogance can prevent us from seeing that we are not worthy of all the blessings that God gives us. We can think that we deserve all the promises and favor that is on our life. But it is only through God's grace that we can receive anything from God. God has created us for His divine plan and without Him it is impossible to fulfil it. Don't miss what God is doing in your life. Receive His grace and live the life you were created to live. God bless you.

One day at a time

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:34

It is easy to get caught up in our worries and thoughts about our future. But why live focused on what could happen when we can enjoy what is happening? Our present can be so much more enjoyable when we can appreciate the progress we are making in it. God has purposed in us great things and but we must live one day at a time. Allow God to draw us into our destiny. Allow what we do today to prepare us for our future. Don't be consumed living for the future for none of us know what tomorrow holds but today is a new day to know God at a deeper level. If it is raining or sunny today it does not matter. It is a new day for us to rediscover God, ourselves and our love ones. Take time to enjoy the day and allow God to take care of your tomorrow. God bless you.

Never Give Up

The Enemy is busy. He does not want us to live purposeful lives. So he constantly tries to discourage us from doing exactly what we are created to do. Michael Jordan one of the greatest basketball players ever was not always the best. In 9th grade he was cut from his basketball team. He was rejected, he failed, he was humbled. What if he took that rejection and never played basketball again? That is exactly what the enemy wanted him to do. He wanted him to run from his dreams and accept mediocrity. But something inside of him would not let him quit. He persevered and the greatness in him shined.

How about you? Is there something that you have failed at that deep down you know you are destined to do? Have you been rejected as being not worthy and inadequate by others? God has a great purpose for your life that only you can fulfill. Don't give up. Don't quit. It is your divine destiny to become all that God has created you to be. Don't let the enemy trick you into thinking that God has no purpose for you. Don't get caught up doing things that have nothing to do with your calling. But depend on God, lean on His Word and allow Him to show Himself strong in you. God bless you.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Hebrews 6:15

Connected to His Voice

3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. John 10:3-5

Are you connected to God's voice? What are you listening to? The other day I woke up and thoughts consumed my mind. I was ready to act on what my mind wanted to do in the day. But as I committed to my plans I realized how fretful I was. I had no peace and was looking for answers to why I felt so emotionally unstable. I went to pray and God showed me I had not come to Him with my plans. God had placed something on my heart to get the day before so I thought when I woke up that I was to go get it right away. But as I prayed God showed me that I needed to do other things first and when I finished them I would then be ready for it. As I received His word I received peace. I received understanding and His voice cleared my mind of my plans and aligned me back to His plan.

Everytime that happens I wonder why I don't pray more often. Why do I wait until I am unstable to take my concerns to God? God wants us to know His voice so that we can life and not die. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6 God voice leads us into life and peace our voice leads us to death. Failure is connected to our plans but Victory is connected to His plan. If we want to walk victoriously in this world we must live according to His voice. It is our life source. Take your cares to God, Take your questions to God, Take your brokeness to God, Take your life to God. He won't fail you. God loves you. Open your ears to His loving voice. He is speaking we just have to listen. God bless you.

Formless Clay

3Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. 4And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. 5Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 6O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. Jeremiah 18:3-6

Today God led me to read this scripture and it really blessed me. Sometimes we can focus on our state that we forget that we are in the Potter's hand. My form is in His control not mine. I can not shape myself into anything great but God can mold me into a vessel that can be used. It is hard to see our lives in the formless state for it seems that we will never be created into anything of significance but if we rest in the Hands of our Creator. He can mold us into vessels that will bring Him glory and honor. The bible states that before honor is humility. We have to be humbled for pride will shatter our lives but humility will bring honor to our lives. God has chosen to mold us into His image let us not fight God but rather submit ourselves to Him. The longer we fight the longer we will stay clay but when we submit to the process God can mold us for His use. Know that your life is in the Master's Hands and enjoy the process of becoming all that God has purposed you to be. God bless you.

Fear not the promises of God

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. II Corinthians 1:20

God imparted in my spirit today. "Fear not the promise of God" Wow!! The promises of God can be intimidated when we see our limitations. When in a storm the excitement of His promises seem far away. When provision seems to never come we can doubt that God is really going to keep His promises. When sickness comes and the pain is real it is hard to trust that God is going to heal us. When an addiction has a hold of us and we continue to fall short of the glory of God it is hard to believe that God can save and redeem us. When God has sown His Word into our hearts and we struggle to fight against the attacks of the enemy we must not fear what God has promised us for it will come to pass. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. II Peter 3:9 What has God spoken over your life? Whatever it is God is not slack concerning His promises. The promises that God has for us are ours to possess but what is hindering us from receiving them. Fear. The world has to receive before they believe. While for His promises we have to believe to receive. Fear inhibits us to have faith in God's promises. The enemy uses fear against us to doubt that God is working in our lives and we end up fighting against the very things we desire. We can not receive anything from God without faith. We are saved through faith. We are healed through faith. We are delivered through faith.

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. I John 5:4

When we are faced with adversity and fear is knocking at our door let it be greeted by faith. Faith overcomes whatever the world offers. It conquers our fears and destroys the works of the enemy. If we will only just believe God our minds will be renewed, our bodies will be restored and our hearts will be filled with the joy of His presence. If God never leaves us what is greater than our God? Nothing. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. I John 4:4 Our fears can cloud our vision from seeing that God is in the midst of adversity working on our behalf. Let us have faith in God. His promises are true and will come to pass no matter what the enemy uses against us if we don't doubt Him we shall receive all that God has for us. God bless you.

Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? James 2:5

Exposed to His Glory

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. II Corinthians 4:6

We cleave to the words of men and media figures. We are opened to the ideas the have for losing weight, staying healthy, have a great marriage but nothing that anyone can say or do is 100% sure. We read the books, we try the diets, we watch the talk shows but nothing seems to transform our lives like the people that adamently believe in their ways. I have tried to diet many times, I have tried to lose weight by exercise (following someone's plan) but I never got the results I desired. Yes I would lose weight but when th diet was over I gained all the weight and more back. I have tried to spice up my marriage through the advice of relationship experts but when what they said did not work it produced more strain on our relationship. Nothing this world has to offer ever can fully satisfy us.

I have witnessed it is not until I am done trying to change myself that I desperately seek the answers in Christ. When I turn from the words of men and myself I become exposed to His Glory. His manifested Presence changes me through the simplicity of His word. Through His word I no longer have to live bound to the complications that I had placed on myself. Then I can allow His Glory to change and transform me into His Image. When we are exposed to His Glory our health is restored, our relationships are strengthened, and our lives are liberated. We expose ourselves to so many things in this world but most of us have never been exposed to the Glory of God.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:10

In this day let us strive to be honest with God and let us ask that His Glory be revealed to us. We are tired of trying and failing we need His Presence. Confession is the key to our exposure to God. Now therefore make confession unto the LORD God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives. Ezra 10:11 Whatever you are struggling with confess it to God and allow His Presence to work in your life. God bless you.

A House of LIberty

As I ran today I noticed something. Every house that I passed had bars on the windows and the doors. The question came to me are we really protected by bars or are we bound by them? I don't have to go to prison to see someone behind bars I just have to go outside. So many of our decisions are based in fear. We feel that putting bars on our house will protect us from criminals but our fear has really placed us in a prison cell of bondage. Everytime you look out the window you see the bars. Everytime you open your door you see those bars. We live our lives according to our fears but God has come to liberate us from our jail cells. It is a reminded of the danger that is present. It is time to take down our bars and let God's Spirit protect us. Let His love fill our houses and allow His Grace to transform criminals into believers. As long as we hide behind the bars we will never witness the joy of being free to live beyond our fears. Take courage and know that God wants to be our covering He wants to be the one that we find comfort in. He wants us to look outside and be reminded of how good He is to us. It is time to let go our ways and fears and cleave to our Savior through faith. God bless you.

In Good Hands

"He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail." I Samuel 2:9

I am encouraged that no matter what I go through. God is keeping through it all. I am not strengthened by my ways or thoughts but I am empowered by the unfailing power of my Living God. Sometimes the road can seem rough and it feels as though I am going to lose balance and fall. But the Hand of God lifts me up. It keeps me upright and I am anointed to walk into everything that God has for me. His Grace holds me together when my life seems out of control. I am comforted in this day to know that God is regarding my life and He will keep me through the midst of it all.

Know that God sees your situations good and bad. You shall live and not die just keep your eyes on God and allow His Grace to uphold you through your trial. God bless you.

Crazy Love

When me and my wife were single and dating, we spend all of our time together. We dreaded not being around each other. Every opportunity we could be together we were together. On the outside looking in on our relationship people could not understand why we were always together and they felt it was unhealthy. No one and nothing could keep us away from each other.

When we really meet Jesus for ourselves and receive His love into our hearts. We don’t want to be apart from Him. Our lives are centered on being in His presence and anything that is a hindrance is dropped from our lives. We are no longer bound to how others do things. Our care is to be in the presence of the One we love. People will look at your relationship with God like “it does not take all that” but when you are in love you do things that you would not normally do. Most of us do not naturally find joy in the midst of a storm but with Jesus His love strengthens us to receive joy in spite of our natural circumstances. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. No matter what others might think He is the most important aspect of our life and we are blessed to have a relationship with Him. Let us desire to love God more than this world, let us love God more than our relationships, let us love God more than anything else. He alone is worthy of our hearts.

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:35, 37-39 Wow!!! what an amazing scripture. God bless you.

His Sufficiency covers me

The last couple of days God has imparted a word over my life that has completed blessed me. "My sufficiency is in Christ". I have been overwhelmed that in spite of all my flaws and failures of trying to make my life sufficient. I have come to realize that my sufficiency is in Christ. Yes this is a simple saying but most of us don't live this way. We try so hard to make things work out for our good. We take on things that God has not given us to do and we live below what God has for us. I am tired of trying and surrender to the fact that my sufficiency is in Christ. My life, my finances, my relationships, my job and divine purpose are only sufficient when Christ is in it. I thank God that He has shown me that all things are possible with God. It is time to live in the sufficiencies of Christ we are liberated to live above our limitations and I thank God for that. Every lack or weakness is in my life so that God strength and provision can be perfected in me. God is good. God bless you.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. II Corinthians 12:9

Live in Season

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

To Live a purposeful life we have to know what season we are in. Winter/Season of EmptinessFall/Season of PruningSpring/Season of Refreshing, RebirthSummer/Season of Fruitfulness. These are just examples but we must find what season God has placed us in. This might be a season where God just wants you to absorb His Word or this might be a time where He wants you to release the Word that is in you. It is vital to stay focus on what God has given you to do in this season so that you can be prepared for the next season and walk into the blessings of that season. This might be my season for blogging but if I don't blog I won't be prepared for whatever season is next in my life.

When the season ends we must move forward into the next season and embrace what lies ahead. We can't allow ourselves to be distracted by the things we left in the past season. We can grow comfortable in what God has done for us in the season of fruitfulness but the season of pruning is necessary for us to grow and return back the state of being fruitful in the future.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

In this season draw closer to God so that you can receive understanding of His plan and be equipped for whatever may come your way. God bless you.

Below are some scriptures about seasons.
A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! Proverbs 15:23

And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. Ezekiel 34:26

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness. Acts 14:17

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 1 Peter 1:6

Living a Purposeful life

Is your life purposeful? As I went to sleep last night God placed in my heart that He desires His people to live full of purpose. The problem is that many of us don't know what our life's purpose is. We work jobs, go to college, go to church but are ignorant what God has created us to do. The question is will we seek God for our purpose? Don't waste another minute; desire to know what your life's purpose is and pursue after God. God has anointed us for something we just have to find it and hold on to it. In this day live life to its fullest live on purpose.

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10

A Mouth that Edifies

"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers." Ephesians 4:29

I have fallen many times because I let my emotions bring the worst out of me. It has always been easier for me to discourage and tear down than to encourage and build people up. God has shown me that our words either speak life or death. When someone does us wrong we want to make that person feel like we feel so we tear them down. What good has it done for us. The person does not change and we leave bitter from the situation. Grace is defined as unmerited, undeserving love or favor. When we speak to edify to those that don't deserve it God can change them as He changes us. We are saved by grace not by justice. We all deserve to die in our sins. We have all done someone wrong in our lives and we did not deserve their forgiveness not to mention God's forgiveness. Our mouths must be aligned with God's heart. We must speak in love no matter how it is received. We are liberated from the wrongs of others when we don't allow their actions to dictate how we act. Let us allow grace to ring in the ears of the hearers so that they can be saved, delivered, redeemed, and healed. Let us walk, talk and live in the grace of God. Grace does not kill, hurt, or condemn it heals, justifies, and saves. In this day let us surrender our mouths and words to God that His Life can be seen through us. God bless you.

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderheared, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Ephesians 4:31-32

Sharing my broken heart to God

Jesus You are amazing. You take my failures and make me new. How could You love me when I have not been honest and true. Your love pierces my heart and causes me to breath. The image of You on that cross grieves me. I deserve to be on that cross but you took my place. I am overwhelmed by your life. I desire to turn from my ways but I can’t without your grace. Lord it is time to believe You it time to live for You. my spirit yearns to be close to You. To be in Your image and dwell in Your love. Jesus hear my cry I confess my need for You. I strip myself from my façade. You are God and without You I am incomplete. Complete Your work in me. I come to You broken and desiring to be fixed. Plant me in good ground that I might be fruitful. Lord I know that You hear me and that You have forgiven me. Your ways lead me into pastures that exude peace. Thank you for delivering me from myself. I surrender, fill me with purpose. Allow Your grace to be my substance. No words can justify Your greatness. Thank you for taking me as I am, mold me into what You predestined me to be. God thank you.

Living among the weeds

I was cutting grass today and I could not believe how many weeds there were in the yard. The weeds had grown higher than the grass and flowers. No matter how much I cut the weeds down. They remain and next week they will arise again. But I am going to buy some weed killer. I don't want to cut the weeds down I want to eradicate them from dwelling in the yard. As long as they stay they will be an eye sore and the grass and flowers will not mature.

In our lives we can be surrounded by weeds. There are people and things in our life that can drain us and hinder our growth. No matter how much we grow they are always grow faster and we never seem to get to our full maturity. But God has some weed killer that will purge an agent that is hindering our growth. The weed killer is His Spirit. It purges and cleanse our lives so that nothing will prohibit our growth. When we are saturated by His spirit people are uncomfortable being in your presence. God filters the good people from the bad people. His spirit takes away all the unhealthy habits that cause us to be stagnate in our relationship with God. It is time to allow God to pour His spirit on us so that we can become what He has purposed us to be. God bless you.

A Calm Mind

As fears and doubts consume my mind. I fight to keep my sanity. I want to be free from these thoughts that have surrounded my thinking. As I struggle to stay focus as I see every situations through the distorted image of my fears. The stress pierces through my soul and I feel as though I am going to lose my mind. This internal battle is impossible for me to win. But in the moment that I decide to give up. My heart looks up. I remember that the battle is not mine but the Lord's. I surrender to Him as He carries His Sword(Word of God) against every thought that is against Him. He destroys my thoughts and holds my fears captive, replacing them with thoughts of peace, love, and joy. He calms my mind as my spirit rejoices within me. I don't have to fight my thoughts I have to submit them to Jesus Christ. He is my shield and buckler. Nothing can defeat me as along as I am under the protection of my King Jesus Christ. I can enjoy life with a sound calm mind because I know that God is here with me. I am never left alone to fight battles that I can't win. The battles are there to simply give me victory through Jesus Christ.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; II Corinthians 10:5

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
