A Mouth that Edifies

"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers." Ephesians 4:29

I have fallen many times because I let my emotions bring the worst out of me. It has always been easier for me to discourage and tear down than to encourage and build people up. God has shown me that our words either speak life or death. When someone does us wrong we want to make that person feel like we feel so we tear them down. What good has it done for us. The person does not change and we leave bitter from the situation. Grace is defined as unmerited, undeserving love or favor. When we speak to edify to those that don't deserve it God can change them as He changes us. We are saved by grace not by justice. We all deserve to die in our sins. We have all done someone wrong in our lives and we did not deserve their forgiveness not to mention God's forgiveness. Our mouths must be aligned with God's heart. We must speak in love no matter how it is received. We are liberated from the wrongs of others when we don't allow their actions to dictate how we act. Let us allow grace to ring in the ears of the hearers so that they can be saved, delivered, redeemed, and healed. Let us walk, talk and live in the grace of God. Grace does not kill, hurt, or condemn it heals, justifies, and saves. In this day let us surrender our mouths and words to God that His Life can be seen through us. God bless you.

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderheared, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Ephesians 4:31-32
