The Voice of strangers

I was talking to my son about when I was a boy I would walk to the store and to the park by myself. He looked at me with curiousity and asked "did strangers mess with you" after our conversation I opened my bible not looking for anything particular and this is what I was led to. "And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him; for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers." John 10:4-5

Wow!! I believe that we can learn a lot from the lessons we teach our children. We tell our children to never talk to strangers. To never take anything from someone you don't know. When I was a child if a stranger talked to me I was told to run and that is what I did. If a stranger gets their hands on you, you are under their control. The problem is that many of us think we can handle ourselves around strangers and that we can listen to them and listen to God. The stranger baits children by using a friendly voice and a gift(candy) to the child to draw them within arms reach. But once they touch you they change from being friendly to be aggressive and oppressive.

But we must ask ourselves. Are we so comfortable with the voice of strangers that their voice no longer seems strange? When we listen to the voice of strangers we can be led away from the voice of God. Then when God speaks we are against the way He is trying to lead us. I believe that God is saying that it is time to flee the voices that are contrary to His Word. God loves us and will not lead us to destruction but through destruction uneffected. "yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me....." Psalms 23:4. The more we commune with strangers the more we become numb to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Let us hind to the lesson we learn as a child. DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS. DON'T LISTEN TO THE ADVICE OR OPINIONS OF STRANGERS AND NEVER TAKE ANYTHING FROM A STRANGER. God bless you.

Rich with no sorrow

"The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it." (Proverbs 10:22)

The blessing of God is on us. It is not something you have to work to obtain or achieve but simply accept. You are blessed not because of anything that you have done but because of what Jesus Christ has done for you. The Grace of God is on us and when we surrender to His Grace we are overwhelmed with riches beyond our imagination.

The blessing is not just tangible wealth but treasures such as good health, peace, joy, love and authority. When we live in the blessings of the Lord our lives bless others. God's Presence is the blessing, it is heaven on earth and where His presence is there is liberty. We are free to be ourselves in His presence because of Jesus Christ.

We can struggle our entire life trying to possess riches and wealth but there is a cost to everything we possess on our own. We can neglect our children and spouse. We can lose our health. We can worry about losing our possessions. We can be stressed out for overworking. Whatever it maybe their is a price to prosperity.

But the blessing of the Lord has already been paid for. Jesus Christ paid the price for us to live blessed. Our faith in Jesus Christ covers our lives in the blessing. No matter where we are we are blessed through our faith in Him. We don't have to covet money for it will only bring sorrow and pain. "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (I Timothy 6:10) But godliness brings great gain. "But godliness with contentment is great gain" (I Timothy 6:6) Our faith is the key to living in the blessing of the Lord. Let us stop trying to make ourselves rich and just accept the inheritance of our Father for it unlimited and made especially for us. God bless you.

Dont be afraid to believe in God

I have not blogged in awhile but I have something in my heart.

Many of us are living in the dark. We are living without the light of God shining on us because we refuse to turn to Him. Have we forgotten God and how powerful He really is? Our fears are keeping us from believing in God. We are trying to play it "safe" but we are fooling ourselves. There is no safety outside of God. We can try to be cautious and try to avoid situations. But there is no avoiding a storm. The storm comes to us all and if we are not covered by God then we will be drenched in our circumstances. We have to be honest with God and ourselves and confess our thoughts, fears, our concerns, and worries to God so that He can comfort us with His presence and Word. We can live in peace in this crazy world. We can overcome the obstacles that are in front of us. But it is going to require us believing in someone greater than what we see. We must take our fears to Christ and allow His love to cast out our doubts and fears that we may be filled with faith in God no matter what situation we face.

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. " I John 4:18

God bless you.

Consumed by expectations

God imparted in my spirit that "my expectations must be greater than my circumstances". So many times we fail to expect miracles and great things to happen to us because our circumstances remain constant day after day. We have to be consumed in great expectations that God will do what He said He would do. Whatever God speaks, He performs. There is no doubt that it will happen. The key is that we can't receive what we don't expect will happen. If we don't believe that God will change our circumstance guess what. He won't. It is according to our faith in Him. When we expect our Heavenly Father to perform great things in our lives, He will. We have to be consumed by the promises of God for instead of having a pity party we can have a praise party as we await the guest of honor Jesus Christ. When He shows up He comes with gifts and blessings. Though He deserves the gifts by His grace we receive in abundance all that He has for us. Praise God for praise opens the door for God to show up in your life. God bless you.

One Word, One Moment to believe

In search for the truth. We can find it hard to cope with our present state. It is easier to ignore our problems and live in a false reality but we must understand that our problems are our biggest catalyst to our development. When a child can't walk they are afraid of falling but how can they walk if they don't try. As a father I encourage my children to try new things when they are afraid of something for I don't want them to live afraid of trying new things. In that one moment that they try, they develop a confidence that only comes through experience. Fear prevents actions while faith provokes actions. As our Heavenly Father pushs us passed our limitations and comfort zones. Let us yield our hearts to His Word and receive the courage and power for the moment. One Word, One Moment can destroy the shackles of fear that keep us from experiencing all that God has created for us. Our healing dwells in One Word that we believe in This Moment. The moment is now believe the word that God has spoken to you. No matter how many times you have fallen (doubt, not believe God) this is your moment to get up and WALK. Your purpose and blessings await your faith to believe beyond your unbelief. Believe the Word. It will change your life. God bless you.

"Be not afraid but only believe" Mark 5:36

God Is

God is so good it is not what He does but who He is. God is!!! My God what a wonderful savior and friend I have in Jesus Christ. He takes my fears and insecurities and destroys them by His Word. Don't miss His voice for it is life and liberty to all that hear it. We must believe that He is. That belief transforms our minds and allows us to see God as bigger than our world. He is God the beginning and the end. Nothing is more important than His existance. Thank God for the life He has given us to live. God is everything. God bless you.

But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Overcoming Emotions

Have you ever felt like you just wanted to scream? Where it just seems that everywhere you turn just makes your emotions boil over. In the moments where you feel that you are going to lose your mind God desires to renew your mind. Yes we may not feel like praying we may want to act off our emotions. We must learn to let go of our emotions and allow God to reveal His peace in the midst of chaos. We are all emotional at some point but when we reach that breaking point we must turn to Christ and allow Him to take our brokeness and bring restoration to our minds. We need Christ in our lives. We need Him when we are having a bad day. We need Him when we are stressed and tired. Let His love rest in our hearts and minds. We are in need of His overcoming love to restore us back to His order. We must step out of our emotions and step into yielding to Christ. Whatever stress you are feeling you don't have to handle it on your own. Give it to Christ and let Him renew and empower you to live above your negative emotions. God bless you.

What are you afraid of?

If my wife is afraid of me how can she enjoy my presence? She can't. If she is afraid she will try to avoid being in my presence and try to please me from a distance. This is how we are with Christ. We are afraid of God. We are afraid if we make a mistake He will hurt us. We are afraid that He will condemn us and verbally assault us. We are so afraid of God that we don't know His true character. When God speaks to us He does not condemn but comforts us by saying "Fear not". You don't have to be afraid those two words decreases fear and increases our faith. Without faith it is impossible to please Him for without fear it is impossible to please not Him. He does not want us afraid of Him or our circumstances. He does not want us to be weary by the mountains that stand in our way but if we can rest in His Word to fear not He can give us victory over our circumstances. Receive the words of God and "fear not" for God is not a tyrannt He is a loving Father that wants the best for His children. God bless you.

An appeal for Mike Vick

I have heard so many negative comments about Mike Vick. How he is a horrible person. He does not deserve a second chance to play in the NFL. That he is a bad role model for our children and etc.

My heart is saddened by the state of our world. We praise men for their great talents but when they made a mistake it is unforgiveable. We want them to pay for their mistakes for the rest of their life. Everytime we see them we see the stain of their mistake on them. Are we without sin? Are we any better than Mike Vick? Have we paid our debt for our sins and mistakes? We are so willing to cast stones at a man but unwilling to look at our wicked hearts. We don't want to look at the habits that we can't break. We ignore our issues and magnify the sins of others. Does that make us any better? No it makes us worse. We are judging and condemning instead of forgiving and loving. We are not the judge God is. We must stop judging others. We don't even know the man but poison and bitterness flows from our lips because someone(Eagles) was willing to look past his mistakes and give him a second chance.

I thank God that He does not treat me like man/this world does. No one in this world deserves a second chance for the sins and mistakes that we have made in life but God sent His Son in spite of our mistakes to redeem us and give us a second chance. We are saved by grace. We are redeemed because God looked past our sins. Never forget that you are not perfect and no matter how little you think your sins are they are worthy of death. Stop looking for people to be perfect if you are not perfect. Let us love one another and stop spreading hate. Remember that our saints in the bible Paul our apostle in his former life was a murderer so was Moses. Only Jesus Christ was without sin no one else. It is not about Mike Vick getting a second chance it is about our hearts. Let our hearts be aligned with the love of God.

We are the role models for our children they must see Christ in us. Stop looking for some athlete to babysit your children and become the one that God uses to show His character to a world lost and desperate for a savior. If we judge our children will judge. If we love our children will love. Let our lives speak life to our children that they might not act like this world but like our Father God Jesus Christ. God bless you and I pray that Mike Vick prospers in his second chance.

How is it working for you?

We can work so hard to be successful and to make an impact in this world. But how is all your hardwork working for you? The dream does not start with you it starts with God. When we stop trying to receive the praises of others God is able to be seen in our lives. We are not created to receive glory but to give glory to God. We are the witnessess that draw others to the love of God. We must stop working on our plans and start living on God's plan. Take inventory of your life and ask yourself how is what I am doing working for you? Are you frustrated, confused, depressed or are you content, peaceful, and joyful? We can live above our circumstances and weaknesses but only through Christ. God bless you.

7Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. 10Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I
11I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. Isaiah 43:7, 10-11

HSTC Book Excerpt - Our Walls fall flat

OUR WALL FALL FLAT

God is gracious and merciful, but we must take the first step for us to receive His grace and mercy in our lives. This process is truly difficult because our hearts are fortified like Jericho.
“Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.” (Joshua 6:1)

Our walls are guarded and protected as we hide from our vulnerability inside. Our hearts are inhabited by fear and selfishness, and are protected by our pride. We refuse to let down our guard without a fight. God is on the outside, desiring to conquer our hearts and destroy every evil agent that festers inside our walls. Jesus has gathered His host, as the Ark of the Covenant (His presence), is carried around our walls. We believe, however, that there is no way Jesus and His army is going to conquer our hearts for we are well equipped for battle.

We boast, in pride, that our walls have never been breached and we are confident that our secrets and our sins will never be discovered. As Jesus and His host march around our walls, we don’t understand their tactics, but they continue to march around us silently. “And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.” (Joshua 6:10) The silence summons the presence of God and empowers their cry. Has Jesus ever cried out to you? When He has completely surrounded us, He cries out for us and our walls fall down flat.

“So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.” (Joshua 6:20)

Our hearts are purged from evil and only His love remains. (Joshua 6:21) God is crying out for our hearts; He is calling out to His sheep to be reconciled with Him, their shepherd.
Our love must be rooted in who He is, not in what He does. Our love for Him is based on the belief of who He is. “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” (I John 4:16) Pure love is shown not through the abundance of tangible blessings we receive, but rather, through the overwhelming knowledge of who God reveals Himself to be.

God’s love is unchanged by our circumstances; it is more than an observable blessing, His love is the blessing. No matter how we perceive Him, He is unquestionably who He reveals Himself to be. Unfortunately, our love is fickle towards God. “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” (Matthew 24:12) We love God as long as He blesses us with health, provisions and even salvation, but when things are taken away, we turn our hearts from God and look for the comfort of someone or something else.

Humbly Submitting to Change release 08/11 read an excerpt "open to divine appointments"

Excerpt from God's Heart Chapter:
OPEN TO DIVINE APPOINTMENTS

Some of the most amazing moves of God that I have experienced were not in a church, but in divine appointments that God had placed in my life. We work so hard to garner the presence of God to fall at our church services, but it is when we are not even looking for God, that He shows up in a mighty way. I have realized that it is not enough just to praise God to reach the depths of His heart, but to seek Him in everything because He reveals Himself through the most unattractive situations.

I can remember one time when I was dropping off the students in our church's tutoring program. I had to rush back to church to attend an important meeting. Anyone that really knows me knows that I hate to be late more than anything. I am very controlled in trying to make sure that I am on time for my responsibilities.

As I was exiting the freeway, I noticed that the exit ramp was backed up because someone's car had stalled. When the traffic light turned green, cars just went around the stalled car. When I approached the car I had an attitude because I knew I was going to be late for church. As I began to go around the stalled car and saw that the owner was desperately trying to push his car out of the way, God spoke to my heart and instructed me to help him. Has God ever spoken to your heart in the midst of your busyness?

When I pulled over, I helped the gentleman who was still trying to move his car but he could not do it with his own strength. We ended up pushing the car into an empty parking lot. He was thankful for the help and as I was about to leave him with his car, (so that I could hurry to the church meeting), God spoke to my heart again and told me, "Ask him if he needs a ride somewhere." Of course I asked, but I questioned God saying within myself: "What about church?"

As I drove the man to his destination, he began to tell me about his struggle with his relationship with God and how he was at a crossroads in his faith in God. He began to ask me questions, and the spirit of God began to speak into both of our lives. God began to use me and share things about the man through me that only He would have known. As the presence of God filled the car, strongholds in both of our lives began to come down. In that car ride, I saw Jesus like I never saw Him before.

Before his car stalled, the young man was on his way to a church bible study that a friend urged him to come to. He told me that when the car stopped on him, he was scared because he was in an area across town from where he lived. He had no means to contact his friend at the church and he felt that his situation was hopeless. Then, at his lowest point, he prayed and God told him not be afraid because help was on the way. So, he waited and then I showed up. As he got out of the car to enter into the church, I was awestruck at the power of God, to be able to use me even when I was not looking to be used. We were both headed to church and we were both detoured, so that we could meet Jesus, and forever have our lives impacted by His visitation. "Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit." (Job 10:12)

Through divine appointments we find the heart of God and are forever changed by His presence. We do not have to find people to minister to; our lives just have to be open to the spirit of God so that He can place us in our rightful position, allowing His grace to touch His sheep. Our divine appointments are never convenient to our daily routine; they completely mess up our agenda and schedule. God wants to use us, but we have to be willing to disregard our agenda for His agenda when He calls on us.

Right Focus

I heard a saying on a movie "whatever you focus on becomes your reality" and it is so true. I have a bad habit of focusing on the wrong things and guess what my reality remains chaotic. But when I turn my focus to Christ I have peace in the midst of my problems. If we focus on our problem we will never be delivered from them. When we focus on God His kingdom becomes our reality. So no matter what is going on when we are in His kingdom we have His provision, healing, joy, peace and love. We can't focus on ourselves, on others or our problems for change comes when we turn on focus on God and allow Him to manifest His Kingdom in and through us. God bless you.

Asleep in His Arms

Last night I was up late with my newborn baby girl. She could not seem to get comfortable at all. As I tried to help her she would just fight with me. Then finally I pressed her closer to my chest right under my arm and she was in heaven. She quit moving and went to sleep. As I watched her sleep in my arms. I thought to myself is this what I do with God? and I smiled because I knew the answer. Yes I fight so much trying to find a place of comfort and rest but as I search for the right spot I don't realize that I am fighting against my Father. God is trying to place me in position so that I can rest in Him. He wants me to have peace but because I don't like what I am going through I try to fight my way out. The way out is in His arms. So God like I did places us close to His heart so that we can feel His warmth and take rest. His love puts us to sleep. As we sleep we have no worries and no pain. We are at rest as God works on our behalf. I want to encourage you to stop fighting and surrender your life into the arms of God. Let Him position you close to His Heart that you may find rest. We are precious in His sight and He loves us for who we are not by what we do. Realize that He is with you every step of the way and when things get difficult don't fight just surrender to Him. God bless you. My first book is releasing next week check out the website for more info.

God is real - A simple truth

You can go to church for years and not fully know if God is real. I know first hand. I lived knowing that there was a God but He never seemed real in my life. I never saw Him working in my life. So as I heard others testify of their experiences I would be amazed at what they would say but I could not relate to their experiences. But I can assure you that God will reveal Himself to you. As blind as I was to God's presence in my life It gave me a bigger desire to see God more than ever. In my confession to God that He would reveal Himself to me. He did just that. He opened my eyes to His Presence and Love and I have forever been changed. The more I turn to Him the more He reveals Himself to me. I love God for opening my eyes to see His kingdom and allowing me to live freely in His presence. If you are blind to God and His Kingdom open your mouth and heart and confess that you want Him to reveal Himself to you. You confess and God does the rest. It is a simple truth. God is real.

Read this story about two blind men that met Jesus. 30And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
31And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
32And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?
33They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
34So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him. Matthew 20:30-34 God bless you.

No one else

There is no denying the greatness of our God. Our God loves us so much and I thank God for the opportunity to know Him everyday. Sometimes we can get so focused on things that don't really matter. But I declare today that God is greater than life. He is the creator of life and my need for Him will never be satisfied. Thank God for His presence and love. I will not apologize for His goodness. God bless you and know that there is no one else more important that Christ. www.pwpublish.com

Unexpected Hope

As I watch the news one thing that is missing is hope. I hear about the poor economy, the health care system failing, people losing their jobs, wars, crimes and diseases. But where is the hope for a better day? Are we so concerned about our problems that we have lost hope for tomorrow. I declare there is hope. A better day is here. We can have our expectations and dream fulfilled. It is possible to overcome this economy, health care, job loss and disease. It is possible to overcome our situations. The question is are we open to these possiblities? Let us commit our hearts to the possiblities that our faith in God brings. God has given us hope through His Son Jesus Christ. When we receive Him we are not bound by the fallen state of this world. We are given a hope that is beyond our expectations. Don't forget God next time you hear a bad report on the news or from someone. Remember that our hope is built in Jesus Christ and Him alone. God bless you.

"For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we seen not, then do we with patience wait for it." Romans 8:24-25

I am so thankful that God blesses me in spite of what I see. I am learning to enjoy the moment for on the other side of my storm is a rainbow/promise. Why be depressed by you see when God has already given us the victory? The challenge is not to harm us but to make us stronger. Enjoy the moment that you are in. Whatever state you find yourself in at this moment be thankful. Live in the moment and make every moment enjoyable. God bless.

Obeying the uncommon Voice

Last week I was sick and I had little strength. I just wanted to sit on my couch and rest. But as I sat there God told me to go wash the dishes. After I was done He told me to vacuum the whole house. As I was vacuuming God spoke to me to change the air filter in the air conditioner. How could God ask me to clean when I am sick? My blessing rested in my obedience. Obeying the uncommon voice allowed God to heal me in an uncommon way. God does not give us anything to do that does not benefit us. If I would have sat in my sickness it would have just got worse, it always does. But thank God for His uncommon voice that is able to take me out of my sickness by His Word. When we obey His voice we are delivered from our limitations and circumstances. When you hear God speak to you don't doubt just obey. You may not understand it but if you obey God your obedience opens the door to your breakthrough. God Bless you.

Fighting the truth

I am a fighter. Fighting can be a very useful gift to have when challenged in life. But I have grown so comfortable fighting against anything that tries to change me that I never find rest from fighting. When I see change I fight it so that I can keep my routine/life the way it is.

God has challenged me more than anything else to change. I have fought the change for many years. When He would tell me to stop doing something I fought against letting go of the habit. The more I fought to keep it the more stressed out I would become. God wanted me to not be a slave to my habits but I fought the truth. God was speaking to benefit me and free me but I stubbornly fought it. So I became my biggest hinderance from become who God wants me to be. I had to surrender to the truth. I had to throw in my towel and let every word that God spoke to me take root in my heart. Now when I surrender to Christ I am liberated. When we fight the truth we fight against our freedom. We fight against our peace and joy. Stop fighting the truth and let the truth take root in your heart. Your freedom awaits.

HSTC Book Excerpt - Molded to Deliver

MOLDED TO DELIVER

Many of us are bound by our past experiences; we are scarred and wounded from those trials. As the heat from the wilderness penetrates our skin, the bandages that covered our wounds no longer stick to us because of the sweat that we are releasing. Our wounds now are open and we are vulnerable in the wilderness. Initially, we begin to look for things that can cover our wounds, but find no sufficient substitute. Our wounds are completely exposed before God, but this allows Him to begin the true healing process. In our lives we want to walk in purpose, see miracles, and see God’s people delivered, but contradictorily we refuse to expose our wounds to God. When God sees our wounds, He heals them that we might be an example to others of His Power.

Those of us that God has purposed have no choice than to come to grips and admit that we need to be healed physically, emotionally, and spiritually; we have carried these scars for too long. As God takes us through the wilderness – with our scars exposed – we become emotionally detached from the hurt and pain that our past experiences imprinted on our hearts. We do not have to avoid our past, because we are no longer bound by it. Satan wants us to feel embarrassed about our past and present state, which literally shuts the door of growth to our future. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10) We can not forget that Jesus is in control. So, no matter what we have been through or are currently going through, He has orchestrated it for our good. We need not be ashamed, for it is through our situations that we receive our testimony. “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;” (II Timothy 1:8)

Our testimonies must be heard to set free those that are still bound by Satan’s lies. We are important to God and we are the chosen vessels that He is sending to deliver new wine to His people. “But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:” (Acts 9:15) There is no room for guilt, regrets, lusts and failures; we must make room for God’s new wine to dwell in us. When others drink of His wine, they will taste what has been missing from their lives and be made whole. We must endure the wilderness not for us to be blessed, but so that others might see – through our lives – and glorify the Father through the Son. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”(John 14: 12-13) After Jesus has dealt with the wounds of our past we then can become equipped for our future.

Open Book

Open the Book. Open your heart. Many times we don't confront what has happened in our past we leave the chapters of our past closed. Opening the book does not mean to live wounded but let the wounds of our past be healed. So that we can move forward. It is hard to deal with our wounds because they are so sensitive to touch. How can we help others that are lame and wounded if we are still crippled from ours? We can't. Give God your book. Give Him your past so that He can give you your future. When we are in God's hands we are empowered by Him and we overcome our past. As an overcomer we can then look back and not be hurt by what we see but it actually mends the wounds of others that we share our past with. I am a witness of this. My wounds and scars have given comfort to people that are hurting in their present. So when I share with them my past it heals their wounds. Our lives are an open book in the eyes of God. He desires for us to open ourselves to Him so that He can heal the wounds of others through us. God bless you.

In sickness and in health

Today I woke up not feeling well. But through it all I am so thankful that God has been with me all day. Many times we want to sit in our sickness but when we sit in it we don't get better. In Christ I have learned to value Him more than my circumstances. Jesus takes care of me when I am in good health and when I am sick. Thank God for His grace for it covers me when I am down. I love Him not for what He does but for who He is. Praise God in what state you are in, for His goodness remains unchanged. Lift up your hands and give God your all for He has given His all for us. God bless you.

Take a Break

As emotions arise and tempers flare I am gently remained by God to "take a break". As human beings we can get so frustrated and emotional about the small issues that we make them big issues. The more frustrated we become the more the problem remains in our life. When God sees us in a position of frustration He does what any good boss would do He advices us to take a break. We must take a break from our problems, from our work and take rest in the break room. The break room releases our minds from the chaos that is going on in our lives and allows our minds to find rest. Taking a break from our problems does not mean avoid our problems but to take a rest so that we can be renewed and empowered to handle them. God gives us rest to recharge us so that we can finish the course strong. In every aspect of life we need a break to be renewed in God so that we have the right perspective in handling the responisbilities that we are given. In everyday don't forget to take your break for it will allow you to finish your day strong.

Read the word of God. Pray to God. Sing to God. Talk about God to someone. Take a break from your life and rest your mind in God. God bless you.

Unlocking the Dream

Even if you did not know it you are a dreamer. The world is full of people that have never unlocked their dream. They have settled for the reality they see placing more chains on the dream that they are made to fulfill. How sad it is that we have chained the thing that was made to set us free. Our dream seems impossible to the natural eye but deep down we know that it is possible. Many times we are molded by others to let go of our dreams and follow the reality that is set before us. With all the layers of vanity pasted to our lives we are bound to a life that is not really us. Then our only freedom comes as we sleep, living in a dream world that is so far fetch that we could never utter its contents. When we open our eyes we go back to our bondage and forget the dream world as we survive the ups and downs of life.

I want to be free. I want to live the dream. I am tired of the voices of others discouraging me from becoming what I was created to be. I am letting the dream out of its cell. It will lead me to my destiny. A destiny filled with promises and blessings. I am excited to be able to follow the dream. We must place the key to our dream in the hands of Christ so that the dream remains free even when our excitement diminishes and we want to give up. Christ will not let us give up. He will patiently persuade us to move forward and take courage in our storms. Christ makes the impossible things of this world possible. Give your dream back to Christ for He knows how to make your dream come true. God bless you.

It is time to live

It is time to live. We have no more space for fear, doubt and worries. It is time to live. What we feel can no longer determine our actions. It is time to live. We will not run from the truth anymore. It is time to live. We will not hate or be unforgiving. It is time to live. We will not abuse our bodies anymore. It is time to live. Our past won't hang over heads like a stormy cloud. It is time to live. We will not be consumed in our desires and lusts. It is time to live. We will leave what is comfortable and cleave to discomfort. It is time to live. We will go blind to the world and be enlighten to God. It is time to live.

If you know what you are supposed to do. DO IT! God has made you for your calling and now it is time to live in what God has for you. Don't think, ponder or look for a sign, Just release yourself into the arms of God and let God work through you. God has something special for you to do. But you must DO IT. It is time to live a life doing what we are made to do. God bless you.

Appearances can be deceiving

The enemy is busy. He uses our senses against us to make us to doubt what God has spoken over our lives. Our peace, joy, happiness, health, dreams, relationships and possessions are all vulnerable when he comes into our lives with his tricks. What we see or feel can deceive us from the truth. We are not subject to the devil but rather he subject to our God. Our God is greater and His word is greater than what we see or feel.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7

Hold your peace when it seems like your world is falling apart. If you believe what you see you are being deceived. Your world is not falling apart God is just taking you to another level of trusting Him. Don't give up because of the appearances but stay strong on what God has spoken over your life.

www.pwpublish.com

I am learning that it takes strength to stay committed to plan of God when it seem to lead to destruction. When we hold our peace God reveals Himself but we act out of fear because of what we see we miss the revelation of God's power in our life. Don't be deceived God is for you not against you. Don't trust your eyes, trust God. He moves according to our dependance and faith in Him. God bless you.

Recorded Voice

Most of us love some form of music. Music changes our moods and attitudes. Music can medicine when our bodies are in pain or when we are sick. But there is no greater music than the recorded voice of God that speaks to our heart in the chaotic storms of life. Can you hear the voice of God speaks peace and love in your heart? God continues to comfort us even when we do not look for His comfort. He tells us we are going to make when we think we won't. He is speaking and waiting for us to rest in His voice. Like your favorite song or cd God's word has been recorded so that we can lean on His voice at all times. No matter if we are in a storm or if the sun is shining His voice meets us where we are. Turn on His recorded voice (open up His word) let it be what comforts you and changes your reality for His word is not a temporary solution it is an eternal remedy. We are changed by His words and give new life. Let this be the day that you hear His recorded voice for it will meet you where you are. God bless you.

Dating in the Dark tv show

I watched a new show last night called "dating in the dark" It literally is a blind date. You don't see the person you are meeting at all. The people on the show shared their hearts to one another and connected with each other without knowing what the other person looks like. After a couple of dates they must reveal what they look like to the other person and then determine if they want to pursue a relationship after the show. One woman was initmate with a man that she really was interested in but after she saw what he really look like she wanted nothing to do with him.

Is that how we treat Jesus? When we are alone in the dark we are receptive of the voice of God. It comforts us in spite of our dark circumstances. We cleave to His presence and are drawn by every word He speaks. In our desperate times Jesus is our best friend. We are so passionate and in love with just spending time with Him. We feel so alive in the midst of chaos because of Him.

What happens though when the lights come on? When Jesus reveals Himself do we find Him to be attractive? In the midst of heartache He is our hero but what happens when we are not in the dark and everything is well in our life? It is our choice if we will continue our relationship with Jesus after we have been delivered from darkness. It is our choice if we will be as passionate for His presence when we are not in the midst of a storm. Jesus is waiting for us to choose to pursue a deeper relationship with Him. Jesus is not flashy and captivating like the pleasures of the world. But Jesus loves us unconditionally. He accepts our flaws and our good quality the same. He is not impressed by our beauty but rather our heart. Jesus wants us because He loves us. Will we turn and walk away from Him when we are healed and delivered from our dark situations? It is our choice. My choice is Christ. I want Him because unlike the world He loves me. God bless you.

HSTC Excerpt - The Trap of Emotions

THE TRAP OF EMOTIONS

It is painful to see people bound by circumstances and not be permitted to share what God has revealed to us. However, we don’t have the authority to choose who or when God liberates people through us. It is in God’s hands so that we don’t emotionally pursue things that God has not given to us. We must continually pursue the Presence of God in all that we do so we don’t make the mistake of falling out of the Will of God, even though our intentions seem innocent. In the Word of God, we see Peter’s emotions controlling his actions a number of times.

“From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” (Matthew 16:21-24)

Jesus had just blessed Peter and told him that he would give unto him the keys to the kingdom. After the disciples began to learn of Jesus’ coming death, Peter heard those piercing words from the Lord and he could not contain his emotions. Peter did not want his Hero to suffer and die, so he allowed his emotions to overtake him, which opened the door to being controlled by his flesh. Peter had forsaken everything he knew to follow Jesus and he could not imagine being separated from his friend. Naturally, no one wants to lose a loved one, but we can not let our feelings get in the way of fulfilling our purpose nor hindering anyone else’s. Our emotions, like Peter’s, can lead us astray from the Plan of God because we do not want to subject ourselves to pain.

Peter submitted himself to Jesus when everything was going good, but when Jesus began to speak about suffering, Peter wanted to take control. He got an attitude with the Plan of God; he was not going to allow his friend to subject himself to an undeserved suffering. As Peter did, we try to talk to Jesus and reason with Him, because we do not understand the path that God takes us through; we want to take back control of our lives and try to look for another way to accomplish God’s purpose. Instead of surrendering to God, we surrender to our emotions, allowing our flesh to dictate our actions. Our flesh does not want to subject us to the suffering required to reap spiritual growth in God. However, we must deny our emotions and follow the Spirit of God wherever and however He leads.

No Words fall

Samuel was a man of character. Though he witnessed corruption under the ministry of Eli, he remained strong in his service to God. A major excuse that I hear a lot for why people don't service God is because they have seen the corruption in the church. They feel that no one is geniune and that it is all evil. But that excuse really just shows our immaturity. It is not about others it is about us. God has called us and we don't have to worry about what others are doing. Samuel did not worry about Eli for he was consumed in servicing God with his whole heart. Because of such loyalty and character the bible says that God did not let one word that Samuel spoke fall to the ground. And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. I Samuel 3:19 We must understand that God has promised us the same thing if we love Him more than anything else. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7 God wants to work in our lives. He wants to reveal Himself strong in us. Think about it if every word is in God's hand nothing will fall. That is what I want. I want my life to be in His hands not mine. I want to place my heart, my dreams, my desires in His Hands and live a life that draws others to His Glory. It is not about works or rituals to receive the promise it is about faith and relationship. When we are receptive to God's Word He then can abide in our words. He abides where He is received. God has so much in store for us let us give God our heart and honor Him with our words and He will establish His kingdom in us. God bless you.

Empty cup

If you have a full cup you have no need to be filled. God wants to fill our cup/life but if we are full of our ideas and wisdom we do not have the capacity to receive the fresh oil that He desires to fill us with. If we think we know God how can we learn from God. We already assume that God is going to work a certain way we won't expect anything new to occur. We must come to God empty so that He can give us a fresh perspective of who He is. Every morning is a new opportunity to rediscover the Greatness of our God. When we go to sleep we wake up with an appettite for food. What if we were hungry for God like we are food in the morning, what could God teach us in that day? Empty your cup whatever you think let it go so that God can reveal Himself to you all over again. I want a fresh perspective of God and I want to bathe in His Presence. God is good let us open our eyes to the world that He wants to reveal to us. Let go of your routines, ways and thoughts and be filled with the wisdom, Presence of God. God bless you.

Make me Free

31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 36If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:31-32,36

When God speaks truth into our lives we have a choice to make. Will we allow His truth to mold us and change us or will we continue to do what we are doing? So many times I have heard God tell me something but I did not want to change. I did not want to accept the truth. Not understanding that God spoke to me to free me not bind me. God wants us to be liberated in Him. He wants us to live in liberty but if we don't listen to Him we will never experience liberty. I have been a slave to my routines, habits, and thoughts for too long and I refuse to live bound anymore. I want to grow in Christ and live in the freedom that He has promised me. We must be made free by His Word and Presence. As we stand confronted by His Truth let us allow His truth to free us. Don't resist the truth but embrace it. God bless you.

The Great Listener

Have you ever wanted to talk to someone but had no one to talk to? Maybe you do find someone to talk to but they don't listen at all. I have found that God is the Great Listener. God listens to me even when I am hurt and when I am happy. He always has an ear open to my voice. Morning, noon or night He is waiting there for me to open up to Him. A lot of times I would depend on others to listen to me and understand what I am going through. Sometimes they judge me sometime they misunderstand me but they really can't help me with my issues. I need the Ear of God. I need someone that can help change my situations. People can not handle what I must confess but God can. His Ear is waiting to take my burdens and free me to receive His Presence and Grace. It is amazing to have a conversation with someone and they don't condemn you but encourage you. God is the Great Listener that we must learn to open our hearts to. He wants to know what you are going through. Our temptations, our frustrations, our pain, our excitement and our joy. Share your heart with God for He waiting to hear your voice. God bless you.

Forgiveness can change the world

Teach me Your ways

Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. Psalm 86:11

No matter what we think we don't know everything. We need to be taught how to love, how to forgive, how to live. We need to know God's ways. God has so much to teach us but we have to be willing to let down our wisdom so that He can give us His wisdom. Our minds must be renewed in Christ. We have to be reprogrammed to live in the grace of God. God's ways are not common and they make us uncomfortable but when we yield to His ways we can learn to live beyond our limitations. We can learn to love someone that has hurt us. We can learn to forgive people that don't deserve our forgiveness. God ways draws us away from selfishness to selflessness. The more we learn from Christ the more we resemble His Image. Let us turn our hearts and minds to God so that we can receive all that God has for us. God ways surpasses our past experiences, they defy the laws of nature. Naturally it is impossible to love someone that hates you but in Christ we learn how to love in spite of hate. God's unconditional love can change any situation let us yield ourselves to His loving ways so that our homes, communities, schools, churches, jobs can be filled with His love. God bless you.

Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end. Psalm 119:33

I pray that we turn to God and allow His love to teach us. I pray that we become great students of God so that people can see God working through us. I pray that we love in this day. I pray that those that are sick and afflicted be healed in the name of Christ Jesus. I pray that our sins be forgiven as we forgive those that have hurt us. I pray for those that are lost that they find Christ and receive Him right now. Amen

In need of a Sword

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Ephesians 6:17

I was cutting grass the other day and I was convicted in my spirit. I was thinking about all the negative comments people have spoken to me recently. Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: Psalm 64:3 As I reflected on their comments God spoke to my heart what sword are you carrying. People's words can hurt and discourage but their words don't last. Only God's Word last forever. Only what He has spoken to me matters. When I am carrying His Sword it destroys the swords of men. When you move the s in sword to the back to reads words. We can not allow people's words to cause us to fear and not believe in God. God has called us to live for Him not for man. We have to know His word if we want to combat the words that are spoken over us everyday. His Words will bring life and peace to us. Let us yield our hearts to God and allow Him to equip us with His Sword. We must live armed with the Word of God if we are to walk in liberty and victory in this life. God bless you.

Answering the Hard Questions

Last week after I finished speaking at a meeting. A mother came up to me looking for answers. Four years ago she lost her husband and her son has not taken the lost well. He has not step into a church since and lives in solitude. She asked "What can I do or say to help him to move forward and let go of the anger?" I stood there in silence. I did not have the answer. In my heart I asked God what do you want me to say to this women that is desperate for change. God's reply "Be honest and show compassion." The very thing I had just spoke about is the same thing God wanted to sow into that mother's heart. We can not force people to let go of the pain of losing a loved one. We can not preach the grief off of them. But we can be transparent showing them that we hurt and bleed just like them and we don't know all the answers but Christ does. The mother had grown stronger in her relationship with Christ through losing her husband and desperately wanted her son to let Christ in his heart. When we lose someone preaching to them about Christ usually does not work but showing them Christ does. People need to see Christ and Him alone. In showing people compassion we allow God's love to be seen through us. Compassion is not sympathy it is being moved by someone else pain and showing unconditional love to them. I told the mother to be strong continue to trust God and turn your son over to Him. When we get out of the way God moves. The answers to the tough questions are found in Christ. Let His light/love shine through you. God bless you.

If you have lost hope in God and you are upset at Him. I challenge you to to confess your feelings and emotions to Him. Don't hold them in but release your emotions to God. It changed my life and i know that it can change yours too. Email me at egardner@pwpublish.com if you want to talk to me. God bless you.

Excerpt from HSTC - Turning from our "Eliab"

TURNING FROM OUR “ELIAB”
For others, unfortunately, it is bewildering and upsetting to see us changing while they are not. They devalue our growth in God, and try to “chip away” at our spiritual armor. Their goal is to see us revert back to our old self and our old ways, so they can justify that ultimately, we have not changed.

“And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle. And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause? And he turned from him toward another, and spake after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner.” (I Kings 17:28-30)

In this relationship between brothers, Eliab did not see the greatness in David. He just saw his little brother; in his ignorance he devalued the future King of Israel. Eliab actually witnessed David being anointed by Samuel to be King (I Samuel 16:13), but he wanted to keep David in the position He had always known him to be in. Eliab was blinded to David’s relationship with God, and for that reason, he confused David’s confidence in God for youthful pride. Through David’s response, we see that Eliab most likely made a habit of accusing David of being mischievous and having a naughty heart. Nevertheless, David had no time to justify himself to his older brother; Eliab would never understand what God was about to do through David. David had to prepare himself for battle, so he turned away from his brother and turned towards his destiny. Little did they know, Eliab and the rest of Israel were going to see God’s delivering power through a “ruddy” young man that was after God’s heart.

We must turn from our “Eliab” and set our faces toward our divine destiny. Our lives can not be consumed with trying to justify ourselves to others, but it must be in submission to our relationship with God. God had communed with David so much (in the wilderness while he was watching the sheep), that David had time to see the power of God. Eliab looked at David’s job of watching the few sheep in the wilderness as something small and insignificant, but David was not alone he was with God.
Though others might place a reproach on the things we are doing, it is fortunately an opportunity for God to commune with us alone. He places us where our relationships and their influence have no power, which allows us to meet Our Father and learn to depend on Him solely. Our parents can’t come to the rescue in the wilderness, and our friends can’t give us their words of encouragement and support. We are alone with God as He unravels our past and shows us our destiny in Him. He shows us that our importance does not come from the relationships we have with people, but it comes from our relationship with Him.

Comfort in the midst of a storm

Have you ever lost someone that had your heart? Maybe a friend, parent or child. What do you do when you are left without their touch? Yesterday I was asked to share my experience of losing my mother when I was 12 years old. As I sat and listened to the events that happened to others. I could hear the pain of their lost. But it was not a sad occasion but it was a release. As I sat there God spoke to my heart a scripture. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. John 16:7 The disciples were about to face life without their Master Jesus. They loved Jesus but He had to leave so that the Comforter could come to them. In the midst of their lost God sent them a Comforter. God refuses to leave us comfortless in the midst of trials and sorrow. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:18 You see God comfort is evident in our lost. Sorrow and grief comes but when we confess our hearts to God He sends His comfort into our lives and we are empowered by His presence.

24But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God. John 20:24-28

When Jesus rose from the grave Thomas did not believe that it happened. He said he would not believe unless he touch the wounds in his hands. When Jesus appeared to him Jesus said touch my wounds and scars and after Thomas touched him He glorifed God. Our wounds are there for unbelievers to see Christ. When they touch our wounds they are touching Christ. We are new in Christ. Old things have passed away and all things have become new. So as we yield our lives to God He transforms us into His image and the pain of the wounds is gone and It can now comfort those that are in the midst of a storm. We all have experienced pain but I pray that we turn our hearts to Christ that He can use our situations to bless someone else. God bless you.

A Life Changing Habit

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. I Peter 5:6-7

It is funny how many times I have found myself burdened by work and responsibities. I desire to be relieved of the burden but can't seem to get free. Then as I feel I am about to be overwhelmed I do something so simple. I pray. I confess my worries, fears, and stress to God and when I am done the burden has been lifted. I always look back and wonder why I allow the burden to get so heavy. Why do I continue to had weight to my life.

A lot of people are struggling with weight problems. They can't seem to lose the weight they have gained. Well the solution I found was not a diet, or workout plan. It was simply listening and obeying the voice of God. Prayer allowed me to release the stress and fears I was carrying and through that release my body was able to release the excess fat that was in me. Working on the inner man is the key to seeing a change on the outside. The closer we draw closer to God and open the line of communication with Him the more we don't have to carrying the weights of our life. I lost a lot of weight and it was not easy; it was painful. When I look back at the change that God made on the inside of me I am so thankful for His grace and mercy. Now I can eat things with a clear conscience for I know that food is not the problem my heart was. We all have weak moments when we crave something but know that desire will pass if you resist it. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 God loves you and wants you to let go of the weight you been carrying. Pray, confess, and cry out to Him and watch this simple habit change your life. God bless you.

Serve the Lord with gladness

Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Psalm 100:2

Martha was served Jesus but how she served Him was burdensome to her. She was not happy and she became frustrated in her service to Jesus. Let us serve God not through works but rather through faith. Let our lives desire to do whatever God tells us to do. If we are to help someone in need don't do it out of obligation but rather through love and compassion. Serving God should bring excitement and liberty not bondage. Be excited to serve God and let His plans become your plans. For in Him we find true peace and contentment. God bless you.

Believing in God

There are many that don't believe there is a God and that we just evolved over time. In not believing in God a god is created. My dictionary defines God as A: the maker and ruler of the world: Supreme Being B: a being thought of as superior to nature and to human beings and considered worthy of worship. C: idol, person or thing worshiped like a god; person intensely admired and respected.

Because we can not see God we don't believe in God. We see ourselves so we believe in ourselves. We believe we are the ruler of "our world/life". We create our future and we don't need a book(bible) to tell us what to do. We are too smart to believe in the foolishness of an invisible God that has some divine plan for our lives. The funny thing is that the people I know that don't believe in God know more bible scriptures than believers. Why seek for answers if it is foolishness what keeps a nonbeliever continually seeking for answers in life. What if it is not foolishness?

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. I Corinthians 1:18-21

What if God really does exist and He has created us? What if He is more than a religion that is filled with rituals and works? What if God is not in the church but rather He exist in all things even in you? So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27

What if God is Love? What if you could see God in the faces of your love ones? What if He created you to love Him and the people in this world?

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. I John 4:7-12

I don't know but I believe God is more than a mean tyrant that kills people for not being perfect. I believe in a God that desires for me to live an extraordinary life and has forgiven me for not loving people but rather just loving myself. I believe God has purposed me to live a life filled with loving people and making a positive impact on the next generation. I don't write to condemn but to encourage. If we really are honest with ourselves we could see that we don't know everything as humans. We have no cure for many diseases though we spend billions of dollars looking for the cure. What if the cure is found in Christ? Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. Jeremiah 33:6 I was healed not through medicine but through faith in Christ. Not that I am any better than anyone else but because He purposed me to testify of His healing power. I have looked for the answers and I have found that they all lead to Christ. It is time to let go of control and believe in God. God gives us true liberty that is not bound by fears and circumstances. Let go and Let God reveal Himself to you. God bless you.

Come out of the bubble

It is time to come out of the bubble that we have created. We must expose ourselves to the life that Chirst sacrificed His life so that we could possess. We must stop basing our decisions on our circumstances and emotions. It is not about what we feel it is about what we believe. If we believe God to be the creator of life and the all powerful; let Him be. If we believe He is a healer of all diseases and sickness; let Him be. We must stop feeling hopeless and believe in God. God will only do what we believe He can do. It is according to our faith that we receive our breakthrough. Breakthrough the bubble of normality and step into the extraordinary life God has for you. It will change your life. God bless you.

Stripped of my gift to receive His Gift - testimony

Before my wilderness experience, I wrote poetry and short stories that expressed my feelings and showed my talent to others. I loved to receive adoration and praise for my writing talent. I used charming words to manipulate people a certain way. I knew that I was talented and felt that no one could ever say anything negatively about my writings. But while in the wilderness I met Jesus and the first thing that happened when I received Him was I got writer’s block. I could not understand it. I had so much to express about my new life in God but could not get the words on paper. After a couple of years God opened it up so that I could write but now it was His words not mine. It was His understanding not mine. When I tried to write with my own strength I would fail miserably. God had to take away my writing gift so that I could be humbled to know that only His words mattered. He exposed me to the flaw in my writing which was self pride0. Now when I write I am dependant on God to give me the words to write. I wait on Him to open up my understanding and lean on Him to write through me. God wants to use those, whose desire is for Him to be glorified through their gifts.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4

In this day take time to behold the beauty of God. The Glory of God is beautiful but it is easy to miss His beauty in the chaos of the day and don't take time to behold Him. We regard our problems, our beauty, our failures, our love ones, and our lives each day but fail to behold to amazing beauty of God. We must desire to see God for who He is. He is our Creator, He is our Savior, He is our Healer, He is our Redeemer, He is our Father, He is our Comfort and Supply, He is our Life, He is everything, He is our God. Let us look up and behold the beauty that is before us. God is good and is worthy of all the Glory and Honor. God bless you.

Chosen and Ordained

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16

We did not chose God, God chose us and has ordained us to be fruitful. When God created Adam and Eve, He told them to be fruitful. If God has chosen us He has also equipped us with the necessary ingredients to be fruitful. We must embrace our calling and allow God to direct our steps into becoming fruitful in this earth. Don't settle for less than greatness. Don't regard your circumstances but rather yield your life unto God and watch Him manifest a harvest before your eyes. We must remember that God chose us the way we are (gifts, talents, weaknesses). We need Christ working in us for us to be fruitful. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. John 15:8-10 We are chosen by God to show the world the Glory of our Heavenly Father. We have been chosen to love. Love your neighbor, your children, your spouse, your parents, your family, your friends and enemies for it is through His Love that the world will see God. God bless you.

These things I command you, that ye love one another. John 15:17

Reading His Writing

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;" Hebrews 12:2

Our lives have been written in heaven. God has started and finished His divine plan through His Son Jesus Christ and now we must read His writing that He has left us that we might follow His perfect example. To know who we are we must know who He is. Without Jesus our lives are meaningless. Yes we can have material wealth and possessions but good will it be when we die. What do we receive in Christ? Look at this verses

I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. John 6:51

I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 10:9

I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11:25-26

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. John 15:7-8

Do you know really know Jesus? Have you read His words? His words bring life to all that believe. We must read His writings and allow His word to be saturated on our hearts that we can become witnesses of His power and promises. We need God so much in our lives. Let us abide in His word and living in the promises of God. God bless you.

Walk out of fear

Everywhere we turn fear is present. When fear comes a wall is built. These walls have enclosed us in a false state of peace. As long as we are in the middle we have peace but when we try to pass through these walls of fear we enter into chaos. Everywhere we travel is left ruined by the tornado of a life we live. We cause others to fear because of our fears. But what are we really of afraid of? Is our fear worth us remaining a slave to them? It is time for us to face our fears and overcome the thing that has been overcoming us. Ignoring the fear does not make it disappear we have to confront it. Confront your fear with the Word of God. His Word is a weapon that tears down the walls and allows us to overcome our fears. Our faith in His Word will deliver us, it will free us and prosper us. So let us walk out of fear in faith and watch God destroy the walls of fear and give us liberty. God bless you.

1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
5For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
13I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalms 27:1-5,13-14

Obeying the Voice

For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you." Jeremiah 7:22-23

There was a time in my life when I could not hear the voice of God. Not that God was not speaking to me but I was deaf to His Words. Without His voice guiding me I did not understand what God really wanted me to do, so I did what I was thought was right. To hear His voice and obey His voice requires faith. I had to let go of my legalistic mindset and come to God in faith trusting that I would hear and obey His voice.

You may ask that is nice but "I have tried to seek God but can't hear Him". Well you have to lay down your life before Christ and in that state of humility believe me you will hear God. God reveals Himself to those that humble themselves before Him. In pride we say God if you reveal yourself to me I will serve you. But we must reveal ourselves to God (letting go of everything) and God will draw near and speak to us.

Take the first step and come to God in humility and let Him define you by His voice. His voice has changed my life and given me so much liberty. God knows what is best for us but we must obey His voice so that our hearts may yield the fruit of righteousness in our lives. God bless you.

He made us

3Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalms 100:3-5

This scripture passage is amazing. We are not a mistake. God made us. say this " I am not a mistake. God made me" I have friends that have told me that they wanted to commit suicide. They felt it would be easier to give up than to endure the shame of their weakness and failures. We all have things that we struggle to understanding, Why did not my father love me? Why did my mother die? Why do I continue to make the same mistakes? Sometimes we try to change ourselves but no matter how hard we try we fail. No matter what we think or believe we can not make ourselves. Whatever background you came from, you must remember that God made you. We are His children and He loves every aspect of us. We are not define by not having a father or mother or even by our failures we are defined by our faith in God. He made us to believe in Him and live through Him. So if He made us we have to turn to Him to understand who we are. Don't live a life ignorant to who you were created to be. God freely reveals His plan to those that seek Him. It is our choice we can live according to our plans or to His plans. What a liberty it is to have Christ directing our life. Praise God for life in Christ. Bless God.

A House with no covering #2

I blogged a couple of days ago about "A house with no covering" but God continues to show me that it is all about abiding under His Word. His Word is vital to us overcoming the obstacles that this world presents. His Word makes everything better. His Word allows us to live in peace and contentment. Without His Word there is only fear. Fear of losing what we possess, fear of losing love ones, the fear of failure. His Word covers us and protects from our fears. When we hear His word we then can live by faith. If we want peace, joy and contentment seek after the covering of God. Seek God and allow Him to cover your life by His Word. God bless you.

Healed in Flight

My father just got back from a ten day mission trip. In his time in Haiti they brought gifts and goods to the Haiti people. Before they give anything to them they prayed for the people. So as he says it "you are praying all day long." But I wanted to share with you a testimony he came back with. There was a man that had a brain tumor that needed much attention. The man could not stay in Haiti for they could not deal with the tumor so they put the man on an airplane headed for the United States. When the man landed in the United States the brain tumor was gone. It was completely healed during his flight. God is amazing and prayer can change any situation. What a miracle?

Your prayer is important for it has the power to change someone else circumstances. In the man's search for healing because someone prayed for him, he was healed in flight. Next time you pray remember that God is able to heal in flight. When the ten lepers went to Jesus and desired to be healed the bible says that as they went they received their healing. Don't look at people's circumstances and feel bad for them, pray for them. For God is able to turn their situation around if we would just pray for the needs of others. God bless you.

Good Morning Jesus!!

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

My young daughter woke up this morning and the first thing she did was come to me and jumped in my arms and said "Good morning dada" then as my other children woke up one by one the came to me in the same way and said "Good morning dada". As I sat in my bed alone I thought if my children honor and respect their father by acknowledging me first in their day. How much more should I acknowledge God first in my day. My heart should desire to embrace the Presence of my Father Jesus Christ everyday. Nothing should come before my God for without Him I would not be alive today. I thank God for my children's example of how I am to approach God in the beginning of my day. Before my needs, requests, thoughts, work, food, shower, and workout the first thing I must do is come to God and embrace my Father acknowledging my joy of having Him in my life. He is so good let us never forget to greet our Lord and Savior "Good morning Jesus". God bless you.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:6

A House with no covering

Could you imagine living in a house that has no roof or covering? Where everything that you possess is exposed to the elements of this world and there is no protection from the rain, the sun, and animals. That house would be unhabitable but sadly that is condition of most of us live in daily. We live in houses that have no covering. We have replaced God with the cares of this world. We are so consumed with filling our houses with material possessions and earthly treasures that we have ignored the most important thing (God). We want God to bless us with the desires of our heart but refuse to live under His Word. We must understand that without God we can not be protected from the elements of life. God's Word has to be our covering if we are to have peace in our homes. God's word has to be what protects us from the storms of life for without His word we are exposed and vulnerable to be destroyed by them. We can't wait until we see the rain clouds coming to start looking for God to protect us. Let us abide under His covering now. Let us believe that He is God and that He is our protection. When He is our covering we don't have to worry about what comes our way for God is with us. Let us stop living under this world and live under God. God bless you.

1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. Psalms 91

Excerpt from Humbly Submitting to Change (Book Release 08/11/09)

Excerpt from Chapter "Finding Faith"

WHO ARE WE RUNNING FROM?

A little while ago, I had a dream that really troubled me. I was outside walking and I was being followed by someone who I thought to be Satan. I started running, but no matter where I went, he was right behind me. I did all that I knew I could do to lose him but all my efforts failed. I became desperate and tired of running so I made up in my mind, I was going to stop running and confront my pursuer. When I turned around and I looked at my pursuer, I realized that it was not Satan at all – it was Jesus. It was a hard truth that I had to swallow: I had been running from God. “Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?” (Ezekiel 33:11) I had been so comfortable with my situation and lifestyle that I failed to recognize the calling on my life. I had failed to see the wickedness that I was doing by running from God through my actions.

I had been faithful to my church and to my appointed positions but could not hear the Call of God. I began to ask: Does God know all the things that I do for Him? Is not my service and praise to Him enough? Why is He calling me to do things that I am not qualified to do? Has all my work been in vain? God do you understand me or am I misunderstood by You too? These questions sat pitted in my heart, all because I had my back to God. “And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.” (Jeremiah 32:33)

God holds all the answers and gives peace to all the doubts that lay in our hearts, but we must turn around and seek His face. We can be successful in our own strength, but it will be for naught if our hearts are not sealed with God’s love. “Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.” (II Corinthians 1:22) We must not let our lives become a service instead of a sacrifice unto God. He wants to teach us and show us who we really are, but it requires a turning from all that we know or have experienced. The Holy Ghost reveals hidden gifts within our hearts; in order to get to these gifts we must be separated from the things that are entangled with our flesh and that have covered our limitless potential. These gifts can not be acquired or obtained through hard work, but they must be given directly from the hand of God.

Blessings that overflow

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalms 127:3

Today is father's day. I have been blessed with five beautiful children and one on the way. The thing is I did not asked for my children they were given to me by God. After having two boys I thought that was enough but God gave us a baby girl. Then when I thought my life was complete He gave us another baby girl. With two boys and two girls I just knew that was it then He gave us another son. "I was like God, You got jokes" After my son came I just surrendered my thinking and plans to God.lol. I don't know what I would do if they were not in my life. I have grown as a person just by them being in my life. With five children it is hard to remain selfish. My desire is to see them happy and taken care of. If God would have told me I was going to have six children in the span of 8 years I would have passed on that. I thank God that He did not consult me but given me exactly what I needed. They are gifts that continue to appreciate and they touch my heart in a way that provokes me to become a better person. They are my ministry and I love them dearly. If you have an opportunity to spend time with children do it. They can renew your passion to live and grow. For children are blessings that overflow. God bless you.

Standing Alone

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psalms 139:14

I took my children to the park today and as we walked on one of the trails I could not take my eyes off of the tall trees that stood before me. As I stared at these unmovable giants I noticed that none of the trees were the same. It was a cluster of different types of trees that had different qualities but all added to the beauty of the park. As we continued to walk I asked God if You created all these trees with different qualities but their differences can bring such beauty, Why don't we as humans love the differences in each other?

We are not created to look like anyone else. We are created to stand out. Our differences are beautiful in God's eyes. He does not want our lives to blend in but rather our differences to reflect His beauty to the world. In life we find that those that are different are treated as outcasts. But we are uniquely made to shine God's beauty through our differences. Let us Stand Alone, no one can be us and we can not be anyone else. We have to become great at being ourselves. Stop looking at the images of others and find the image of God that dwells in you. Whatever body type, gender, race, personality, gift, talent, weakness you have remember that God created you to be you. God loves who He created and when we start living according to His plan for us we will love ourselves also. Don't give up on yourself, God has planted your life that you may stand alone in His greatness. God bless you.

Empty what is full and fill what is empty

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6

Empty what is full, and fill what is empty

What a powerful statement. We must learn to empty what is full and fill what is empty. We have to empty ourselves of ourselves and be filled with more of Christ. We hinder our growth in life because we continue hold onto our identity. We are full of worldly ways but empty of the Presence of God. We are full of religion but empty of a true relationship with God. If we want to change we must come to God empty. Empty of our ways, of our habits, of our thoughts and be filled with God’s ways, God’s habits, and God’s thoughts.

The very thing we need and long for we can’t have until we are emptied of what we are carrying. If I am full of bitterness there is no place for forgiveness to dwell in me. If I am full of anger there is no place for mercy work in me. If I am full of pride I can not walk in humility. If I am full of hatred I can not walk in love. We are hindering ourselves from being blessed for our hearts and our lives are full of iniquity. Let us turn our hearts, our ways, and our lives back to God so that we can be filled with more of Him. Let us hunger for His righteousness. Let us seek His love. Let us be filled with God not this world. Our lives exuded what we are carrying. When persecution comes will we face it in Christ or in ourselves? When a storm comes will we be covered by the shadow of the Almighty or simply covered in sin. Christ has given us this opportunity to release what is in us and receive Him into our lives don’t waste another moment. Confess your heart to Christ (empty your heart) and be filled by His Spirit (be delivered, saved and redeemed).
