Walk out of fear

Everywhere we turn fear is present. When fear comes a wall is built. These walls have enclosed us in a false state of peace. As long as we are in the middle we have peace but when we try to pass through these walls of fear we enter into chaos. Everywhere we travel is left ruined by the tornado of a life we live. We cause others to fear because of our fears. But what are we really of afraid of? Is our fear worth us remaining a slave to them? It is time for us to face our fears and overcome the thing that has been overcoming us. Ignoring the fear does not make it disappear we have to confront it. Confront your fear with the Word of God. His Word is a weapon that tears down the walls and allows us to overcome our fears. Our faith in His Word will deliver us, it will free us and prosper us. So let us walk out of fear in faith and watch God destroy the walls of fear and give us liberty. God bless you.

1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
5For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
13I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalms 27:1-5,13-14

Obeying the Voice

For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you." Jeremiah 7:22-23

There was a time in my life when I could not hear the voice of God. Not that God was not speaking to me but I was deaf to His Words. Without His voice guiding me I did not understand what God really wanted me to do, so I did what I was thought was right. To hear His voice and obey His voice requires faith. I had to let go of my legalistic mindset and come to God in faith trusting that I would hear and obey His voice.

You may ask that is nice but "I have tried to seek God but can't hear Him". Well you have to lay down your life before Christ and in that state of humility believe me you will hear God. God reveals Himself to those that humble themselves before Him. In pride we say God if you reveal yourself to me I will serve you. But we must reveal ourselves to God (letting go of everything) and God will draw near and speak to us.

Take the first step and come to God in humility and let Him define you by His voice. His voice has changed my life and given me so much liberty. God knows what is best for us but we must obey His voice so that our hearts may yield the fruit of righteousness in our lives. God bless you.

He made us

3Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalms 100:3-5

This scripture passage is amazing. We are not a mistake. God made us. say this " I am not a mistake. God made me" I have friends that have told me that they wanted to commit suicide. They felt it would be easier to give up than to endure the shame of their weakness and failures. We all have things that we struggle to understanding, Why did not my father love me? Why did my mother die? Why do I continue to make the same mistakes? Sometimes we try to change ourselves but no matter how hard we try we fail. No matter what we think or believe we can not make ourselves. Whatever background you came from, you must remember that God made you. We are His children and He loves every aspect of us. We are not define by not having a father or mother or even by our failures we are defined by our faith in God. He made us to believe in Him and live through Him. So if He made us we have to turn to Him to understand who we are. Don't live a life ignorant to who you were created to be. God freely reveals His plan to those that seek Him. It is our choice we can live according to our plans or to His plans. What a liberty it is to have Christ directing our life. Praise God for life in Christ. Bless God.

A House with no covering #2

I blogged a couple of days ago about "A house with no covering" but God continues to show me that it is all about abiding under His Word. His Word is vital to us overcoming the obstacles that this world presents. His Word makes everything better. His Word allows us to live in peace and contentment. Without His Word there is only fear. Fear of losing what we possess, fear of losing love ones, the fear of failure. His Word covers us and protects from our fears. When we hear His word we then can live by faith. If we want peace, joy and contentment seek after the covering of God. Seek God and allow Him to cover your life by His Word. God bless you.

Healed in Flight

My father just got back from a ten day mission trip. In his time in Haiti they brought gifts and goods to the Haiti people. Before they give anything to them they prayed for the people. So as he says it "you are praying all day long." But I wanted to share with you a testimony he came back with. There was a man that had a brain tumor that needed much attention. The man could not stay in Haiti for they could not deal with the tumor so they put the man on an airplane headed for the United States. When the man landed in the United States the brain tumor was gone. It was completely healed during his flight. God is amazing and prayer can change any situation. What a miracle?

Your prayer is important for it has the power to change someone else circumstances. In the man's search for healing because someone prayed for him, he was healed in flight. Next time you pray remember that God is able to heal in flight. When the ten lepers went to Jesus and desired to be healed the bible says that as they went they received their healing. Don't look at people's circumstances and feel bad for them, pray for them. For God is able to turn their situation around if we would just pray for the needs of others. God bless you.

Good Morning Jesus!!

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

My young daughter woke up this morning and the first thing she did was come to me and jumped in my arms and said "Good morning dada" then as my other children woke up one by one the came to me in the same way and said "Good morning dada". As I sat in my bed alone I thought if my children honor and respect their father by acknowledging me first in their day. How much more should I acknowledge God first in my day. My heart should desire to embrace the Presence of my Father Jesus Christ everyday. Nothing should come before my God for without Him I would not be alive today. I thank God for my children's example of how I am to approach God in the beginning of my day. Before my needs, requests, thoughts, work, food, shower, and workout the first thing I must do is come to God and embrace my Father acknowledging my joy of having Him in my life. He is so good let us never forget to greet our Lord and Savior "Good morning Jesus". God bless you.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:6

A House with no covering

Could you imagine living in a house that has no roof or covering? Where everything that you possess is exposed to the elements of this world and there is no protection from the rain, the sun, and animals. That house would be unhabitable but sadly that is condition of most of us live in daily. We live in houses that have no covering. We have replaced God with the cares of this world. We are so consumed with filling our houses with material possessions and earthly treasures that we have ignored the most important thing (God). We want God to bless us with the desires of our heart but refuse to live under His Word. We must understand that without God we can not be protected from the elements of life. God's Word has to be our covering if we are to have peace in our homes. God's word has to be what protects us from the storms of life for without His word we are exposed and vulnerable to be destroyed by them. We can't wait until we see the rain clouds coming to start looking for God to protect us. Let us abide under His covering now. Let us believe that He is God and that He is our protection. When He is our covering we don't have to worry about what comes our way for God is with us. Let us stop living under this world and live under God. God bless you.

1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. Psalms 91

Excerpt from Humbly Submitting to Change (Book Release 08/11/09)

Excerpt from Chapter "Finding Faith"

WHO ARE WE RUNNING FROM?

A little while ago, I had a dream that really troubled me. I was outside walking and I was being followed by someone who I thought to be Satan. I started running, but no matter where I went, he was right behind me. I did all that I knew I could do to lose him but all my efforts failed. I became desperate and tired of running so I made up in my mind, I was going to stop running and confront my pursuer. When I turned around and I looked at my pursuer, I realized that it was not Satan at all – it was Jesus. It was a hard truth that I had to swallow: I had been running from God. “Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?” (Ezekiel 33:11) I had been so comfortable with my situation and lifestyle that I failed to recognize the calling on my life. I had failed to see the wickedness that I was doing by running from God through my actions.

I had been faithful to my church and to my appointed positions but could not hear the Call of God. I began to ask: Does God know all the things that I do for Him? Is not my service and praise to Him enough? Why is He calling me to do things that I am not qualified to do? Has all my work been in vain? God do you understand me or am I misunderstood by You too? These questions sat pitted in my heart, all because I had my back to God. “And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.” (Jeremiah 32:33)

God holds all the answers and gives peace to all the doubts that lay in our hearts, but we must turn around and seek His face. We can be successful in our own strength, but it will be for naught if our hearts are not sealed with God’s love. “Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.” (II Corinthians 1:22) We must not let our lives become a service instead of a sacrifice unto God. He wants to teach us and show us who we really are, but it requires a turning from all that we know or have experienced. The Holy Ghost reveals hidden gifts within our hearts; in order to get to these gifts we must be separated from the things that are entangled with our flesh and that have covered our limitless potential. These gifts can not be acquired or obtained through hard work, but they must be given directly from the hand of God.

Blessings that overflow

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalms 127:3

Today is father's day. I have been blessed with five beautiful children and one on the way. The thing is I did not asked for my children they were given to me by God. After having two boys I thought that was enough but God gave us a baby girl. Then when I thought my life was complete He gave us another baby girl. With two boys and two girls I just knew that was it then He gave us another son. "I was like God, You got jokes" After my son came I just surrendered my thinking and plans to God.lol. I don't know what I would do if they were not in my life. I have grown as a person just by them being in my life. With five children it is hard to remain selfish. My desire is to see them happy and taken care of. If God would have told me I was going to have six children in the span of 8 years I would have passed on that. I thank God that He did not consult me but given me exactly what I needed. They are gifts that continue to appreciate and they touch my heart in a way that provokes me to become a better person. They are my ministry and I love them dearly. If you have an opportunity to spend time with children do it. They can renew your passion to live and grow. For children are blessings that overflow. God bless you.

Standing Alone

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psalms 139:14

I took my children to the park today and as we walked on one of the trails I could not take my eyes off of the tall trees that stood before me. As I stared at these unmovable giants I noticed that none of the trees were the same. It was a cluster of different types of trees that had different qualities but all added to the beauty of the park. As we continued to walk I asked God if You created all these trees with different qualities but their differences can bring such beauty, Why don't we as humans love the differences in each other?

We are not created to look like anyone else. We are created to stand out. Our differences are beautiful in God's eyes. He does not want our lives to blend in but rather our differences to reflect His beauty to the world. In life we find that those that are different are treated as outcasts. But we are uniquely made to shine God's beauty through our differences. Let us Stand Alone, no one can be us and we can not be anyone else. We have to become great at being ourselves. Stop looking at the images of others and find the image of God that dwells in you. Whatever body type, gender, race, personality, gift, talent, weakness you have remember that God created you to be you. God loves who He created and when we start living according to His plan for us we will love ourselves also. Don't give up on yourself, God has planted your life that you may stand alone in His greatness. God bless you.

Empty what is full and fill what is empty

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6

Empty what is full, and fill what is empty

What a powerful statement. We must learn to empty what is full and fill what is empty. We have to empty ourselves of ourselves and be filled with more of Christ. We hinder our growth in life because we continue hold onto our identity. We are full of worldly ways but empty of the Presence of God. We are full of religion but empty of a true relationship with God. If we want to change we must come to God empty. Empty of our ways, of our habits, of our thoughts and be filled with God’s ways, God’s habits, and God’s thoughts.

The very thing we need and long for we can’t have until we are emptied of what we are carrying. If I am full of bitterness there is no place for forgiveness to dwell in me. If I am full of anger there is no place for mercy work in me. If I am full of pride I can not walk in humility. If I am full of hatred I can not walk in love. We are hindering ourselves from being blessed for our hearts and our lives are full of iniquity. Let us turn our hearts, our ways, and our lives back to God so that we can be filled with more of Him. Let us hunger for His righteousness. Let us seek His love. Let us be filled with God not this world. Our lives exuded what we are carrying. When persecution comes will we face it in Christ or in ourselves? When a storm comes will we be covered by the shadow of the Almighty or simply covered in sin. Christ has given us this opportunity to release what is in us and receive Him into our lives don’t waste another moment. Confess your heart to Christ (empty your heart) and be filled by His Spirit (be delivered, saved and redeemed).

Chosen

I am not the most talented, I am not the most popular. I am not the most organized. I am not innocent. I am not good at memorizing bible scriptures. I am not the most qualified. But in spite of all my issues and flaws God chose me to share His gospel His people. My heart is determined to see people changed by His Words. I won't give up in spite of my trials but I will declare the goodness of God. I have been chosen by God because I responded to His call.

I want to encourage you to yield your heart to God. He has a great plan for you. Respond to His voice. Don't doubt that He is speaking to you. For He is speaking, surrender to His voice. God bless you.

Strength that endures

Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. I Chronicles 16:11

In my workout routine nothing challenges me more than running and nothing benefits me more than running. As I push myself beyond my comfort zone every step I take out of my comfort zone gets harder and more challenging. Though I want to give up I am encouraged by God to push even harder. God motivates me to run inspite of exhaustion. I have drawn closer to God because of something as simple as running. For God dwells outside of my comfort zone. He empowers me when I am tired and weak. Strength that endures is strength that is challenged and continues. One day when I wanted to give up God spoke to my heart "The race is not given to the swift or the strong it is given to the one that endureth unto end" God gives strength not to the fast or strong but to the one that He trusts will not give up but endure until the end.

God has placed desires in your heart to accomplish but you must know that there will be obstacles that we will have to endure, if you don't give up you will reach the end. If you desire to lose weight push yourself pass your comfort zone. Believe me it is not easy but if you are willing to change God will empower you to change if you endure the obstacles and pain require to receive change. His strength always endures receive His strength and never give up. God bless you.

Steps towards greatness

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14

My favorite basketball player is Kobe Bryant. No matter if you like him or not we can all learn from him. Kobe is known as having the best work ethic in basketball, no one works hard at perfecting their game than him. Something he said truly blessed me. When asked about his workout routine and what can others do to improve, he said "whatever plan you have stay consist and trust the plan" He is great not because he has one or two great games but he consistently plays great. He strives for greatness when he is alone working out, he strives for greatness when the pain seems too much to bear, he presses towards greatness by working everyday at his craft.

God has a plan for our lives if we consistently pursue it and trust God's plan we will become great at what God has for us to do. If you know what you are gifted in don't hold back strive for greatness. Your faith and hard work will pay off in the long run if you don't give up. Every step we take has to be aimed towards greatness. If you are a parent strive to be a great parent in Christ. If you are a business person strive to be a great business person in Christ. If you are a spouse strive to be the best spouse in Christ. If you are _________ stive to be a great ___________ in Christ. Let God show you what you are gifted in and strive to be great in those gifts. Every aspect in our lives we have room to improve let us strive for growth and become great at being ourselves.

Do we really believe God?

Do you believe that the walls of Jericho fell flat?
Do you believe that Jesus walked on water?
Do you believe that Peter walked on water?
Do you believe that Jesus fed five thousand men with two fish and five loaves of bread?
Do you believe that Jesus raised Lazarus from the grave?
Do you believe that the Red Sea was parted for the children of Israel?
Do you believe that it rained for forty days and forty nights and the earth was flooded?
Do you believe that Jesus can be born of a virgin?
Do you believe that Jesus healed the lame, blind, and deaf?
Do you believe that 3 Hebrew boys could survive a fiery furnace?
Do you believe that the people in the bible are real?

My answer to all these questions are yes I believe. I believe God. If we can believe the bible as true, what about our lives?

Do we believe that God will work miracles in our lives?
Do we believe that He can change our circumstances?
Do we believe that our sins are forgiven?
Do we believe that God has a great purpose for our lives?

My answer is still yes!! If we believe all these things and more let our lives exude our beliefs. Let us walk in faith not in fear. Let us not be worried by our circumstances but dwell in peace knowing that God is working greatness in our lives. Let us hold on to God's unchanging Hand and live according to our faith and hope in God. Those that believe in Jesus Christ will find their name written in the Lamb"s Book of Life.

Write down your trying circumstances and ask yourself "Am I believing God and living according to my beliefs or Am I living according to my fears and unbeliefs" No matter what your answer turns out to be know that you can change now!! You can start believing now!! You can move forward now!! Just Believe. God bless you.

Don't regard their faces

Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 1:8

If we are going live according to our divine purpose we have to keep our eyes on Christ. The looks of others can stop us from pursuing after all that God has for us. It is hard to see the looks that speak "you are crazy" "you are making a mistake" "God is not speaking to you" "you are not good enough". Have you ever received a look that stopped you in your tracks. God desires us to not look at others for validation but look to Him for direction. God has too much in store for us to be discouraged by the smirks and looks of naysayers. Take courage and know that God is for you and that He will come through for you if you trust Him. Our purpose is greater than their looks it is what we are created for. Turn from the ugly looks and behold the beauty of our God. His beauty is worth fighting for. God bless you.

Refined Silver

A man once went to a silversmith and saw him place a piece of silver in the fire. As the silver was in the fire, the fire refined it. The parts that were useless fell off and only that which was useful remained. The man asked the silversmith how do you know when to take the silver out of the fire? The silversmith said that is easy when I see my reflection in it. Wow. When God sees His reflection in us He can put us on display. It is not until He can see Himself that we can be taken out of the fire. When we yield to the process God can mold us and shape us into His image and Then our lives can be used to bring Him Glory. Don't fight the fire for it is there to draw you closer to God. God bless you.

And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. Zechariah 13:9

Change your vantage point

Many times we can see things one way and be frustrated by what we see. But someone from a different vantage point sees the same situation from a completely different view. When we look at our lives do we see good or do we see bad? When a lame man was seating a pool looking for someone to put him in the water to receive his healing. Jesus saw the man and asked "wilt thou be made whole?" Jesus is asking us the same question to us will we remain feeling sorry that we are lame and afflicted do you really want to be healed? Then Jesus says to the man "Arise, take up thy bed and walk" the man immediately got up and walked away healed from his lifelong infirmity. John 5:1-9 Jesus looking at that man saw his situation from a different vantage point. The man saw his affliction Jesus saw his deliverance. If we could just change our vantage point we could be healed from the afflictions that we are in. Jesus is standing over us waiting for us to "Arise" (change our vantage point) and receive our deliverance.

I want to encourage everyone to change from our natural vantage point and turn our hearts to Christ that we may arise to His vantage point. In Him we move, live and have our being. For in him we live, and move, and have our being; Acts 17:28 Naturally our circumstances may seem hopless but in Christ we find hope that overcomes all circumstances. Change your vantage point it will change your life. God bless you.

It's Yours

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36

Jesus Christ has paid the price for your freedom. Whatever has you bound understanding that freedom is yours through faith in Jesus Christ. I was bound in fears, anixety, past experiences, religion, addictions, illiness, weight issues. But in everything that had me bound when I turned to Christ. He redeemed me and set me free from my burdens. Believe me you can try to free yourself but you won't prevail. Freedom only comes through the Son Jesus Christ. For His freedom is eternal. So come unto God and allow Him to set you free from the shackles that have been holding you down. God bless you.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. II Corinthians 3:17

The secret to riches, honor and a blessed life

We can live our entire live in a quest to obtain the desires of our heart. Who does not want to have a blessed life? What really is a blessed life though? Is it defined by our bank accounts and accomplishments? I believe life is more than that. I believe God desires to give us more than money. The secret to having an abundant life is to receive and live in Christ. By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life. Proverbs 22:4 Our reverance for God allows God to place His riches in our hands. When we walk in humility it gives us access to the grace of God. Having the presence of God is the blessed life. Let us walk in humility and reverance God and let His Grace shower our lives with His riches. God bless you.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. James 4:6

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalms 34:18

Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Psalms 37:4

Diary of a Los Angeles Lakers fan

I am a huge fan of the Lakers. My favorite player is Kobe Bryant and I am excited about them having a chance of winning the NBA championship. When I woke up this morning something stirred in my spirit. If they win will I be satisfied? The answer is no. ...so the eyes of man are never satisfied. Proverbs 27:20 When they won three championships in row I was disappointed when they did not win the next year. If they win this year I want them to win next year. I am never satisfied with the now I want more. Same thing happens in college football. I am a fan of USC trojans and when they won two championships in a row I was upset when Texas beat them in the Rose bowl preventing them from winning their third. You see as much as I love sports it never ends. I am always yearning for more. He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. Ecclesiastes 5:10 I then am locked in to the unending cycle of highs and lows that sports brings.

I am writing this to say we must enjoy the present. Enjoy the victories that we obtain in each moment of our life and live a life that is satisfying. If we don't enjoy the journey we will never appreciate the victory. My life is not defined by being a fan of a sports team, it can never be defined by the pleasures of this world. My life is defined by my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Only what I do through Christ last and satisfies. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. Isaiah 55:2-3 I have be saturated in Him not my favorite team because when the season ends. What then? He makes everything enjoyable. I then can watch the game not for satisfaction but for enjoyment. For my satisfaction is in Christ and Christ alone. Knowing it is just a game it not my life. When I am satisfied by God I can enjoy the things God has created for my pleasure. God desires that we all know Him and His plan for our lives. Let us seek God in all things, in every aspect of our life and allow Him to give us the desires of our heart. Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Psalms 37:4 God bless you.

Separated but not Set Apart

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Ephesians 4:2-7

What denomination are you? What church do you go to? these are questions that are common in the christian world. But does it really matter? We are separated not because of God but because of pride. We think we know the right way so we separate from anyone that believes anything contrary to our traditions. We can't get into "holy wars" inside of our churches. We who believe in Jesus Christ are called to be one body that is set apart from the world. But if we fight against each other because of our traditions we will never become the body that Christ intended for us to be. If Christ is the head we should all be subject to Him. Allow Him by His Word direct us into all truth. Our denomination, our churches did not bring salvation to us, only Christ can. He sarcificed His life so that we may live in Him. Love unifies and edifies let us abide in His love. I have five children and they are all different, they think differently, they learn differently, and they act differently but I appreciate their differences and I love them and guide them according to what will benefit them to mature and grow. Just because I go to one denomination and you go to another does not mean we can love each other but we have to choose to love in spite of our differences. Then our lives will be set apart for the world to see God through us. The world sees us separated but they don't see us set apart. The world needs to see Christ not our religious beliefs for only through Christ can true love be manifested. Let us not condemn those that are different but let us love one another because we can learn from each other and become the Set Apart Body of Christ that Christ created us to be. Bless God.

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:15-16

Gas Prices are High!!

There does not go a day where you won't hear about gas prices. We have been fooled. We concentrate so much on the gas prices that we are frustrated, confused and angered by the continual increase. Every conversation leads to another complaint to the cost of gas. But we are forgetting something. We have cars!! Driving is a blessing not everyone has the opportunity to drive a car they ride the bus or walk. I meet people all the time that don't have a car and hope to someday be blessed to have one. But the ones that do have them we complain about "gas prices". Would you rather drive 15 minutes to the store or ride the bus for 2 hours one way. The enemy has spread the habit of complaining to us to distract us from the blessings that we possess. We must thank God for blessing us to have a car and have money to put gas in it. Complaining is never good so let us stop complaining and start thanking God for everything. Israel complained about everything in the wilderness they even complained about the provision of manna (bread) from heaven that God provided for them. Their complaining got them no where and neither will ours. Let us Praise God for the simple things for He is good to us. Let us change our complaining to thanking and bring life to our lives not death. Focus on the positive not the negative. And in all things Thank God.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Phillippians 2:14-15

Mirror Image

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. II Corinthians 3:18

When you look in the mirror what do you see? Last night I realized how hard it is to look at myself. The enemy wanted me to look at my flaws and my blemishs and turn away from looking in the mirror. But God told me to keep looking. In my mind I questioned God "what am I looking for Lord". Then I saw what He wanted me to see. I saw my heart, my passion, my purpose and my heart wept before God. I saw my need for more of Him. My heart yearns to be filled by His love. My passion needs to be led by His spirit and my purpose is meaningless without His presence. The enemy does not want me to see my need for God. He wants me to be distracted by this world and live a life of no meaning. All we need is a mirror, not to look at our outward appearance but to look into the depths of our soul. To behold the beauty of our God. We are created in the image of God no matter how much we cover our blemishs with make-up, clothes, ego and jewelry we all desire to see the reflection of God. I have a long way to go but I am willing to seek God and plan for my life. Let us turn to God and allow His love to uncover the truth about us so that we can become His reflection that the world see and they are drawn back to Him. God bless you.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27

Be not afraid because of them

4And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.
5And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
6And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. Joshua 11:4-6

All the kings that inhabited in the "Promise Land" gathered together to fight against the children of Israel. How could Israel conquer the armies of all the kings? We can see fighting one enemy at a time but this battle was going to be with all of them. The multitude of foes was so great that it is described "as the sand that is upon the sea shore" God has unified our enemies for defeat. God tells Joshua as He is telling us now "Be not afraid because of them" Victory is ours. If we remain faithful to the Word that God has spoken to us. "Tomorrow about this time" our enemies will be defeated. Some of us are going through the worst trials of our life. We are up against great odds and it seems that we won't be victorious. But God is telling us to not be afraid of our adversity or adversaries for God has declared they shall be defeated. No matter what our issues may be we must believe that God's Word is true and that He will deliver us from all of our troubles. God has delivered them into our hands but we have to slay them. We have to use the Sword of the Spirit(The Word of God) (Ephesians 6:17)to destroy every foe with the stoke of His Word. Lift up your eyes and look into the eyes of your enemies and declare the Word of God over your life and watch God deliver them all into your hands. God bless you.

7So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they fell upon them.
8And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephothmaim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining. Joshua 11:7-8

The Revelation inside the "Labyrinth"

I watched the movie the Labyrinth yesterday. If you have not seen the movie before here is what was written on the back cover of the dvd.

"Babysitting infant stepbrother Toby on a weekend night isn't young Sarah's idea of fun. Frustrated by his crying, she secretly imagines the Goblins from her favorite book, Labyrinth, carrying Toby away. When her fantasy comes true, a distraught Sarah must enter a maze of illusion to bring Toby back from a kingdom inhabited by mystical creatures and governed by the wicked Goblin King."

In the movie the young girl goes through this maze that seems impossible to solve. She falls into traps, she is continually attacked by the Goblin King but through it all she makes it through the maze to the castle where her stepbrother is. When she goes to get him she enter another maze of stairways and can't seem to get to her brother. Then she does the unthinkable she jumps off the stair falling seemingly to the bottom of the maze and when she gets there the Goblin King stands in front of her but now she is not afraid of him and she says something that was so profound "You don't have power over me" Once those words are uttered. The Goblin King's spell is destroyed and she is back at home with her brother.

The Revelation inside the "Labyrinth" is that satan does not have power over us. Satan is like the Goblin King he wants us to fight through the maze of circumstance. He wants us to live according to his rules. As long as he can keep us in the maze we will be ignorant to what God has already done for us. Through Jesus Christ there is no power that is greater than Him. Jesus is greater than our problems and Satan can not rule us for he has no authority over us. We are Christ's and in Him we are empowered to live above the illusions of the enemy. Satan will not stop but we must realize he has no power over us. When we live according to the power of God which is through Jesus Christ, the enemy must take his hands off of us. It is time to come out of the maze and put the enemy in his place "satan you have no power over me". "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." I John 3:8 When we begin to believe God the enemy can not have power over us. Our faith in Jesus puts the enemy in place. Trust and Believe God and watch God work supernaturally in your life. God bless you.

Thank God

Today is a new beginning. This is my 101st blog and I am so thankful that God has given me the opportunity to share my heart with Him and others.

Many times we can get caught up in what we don't have that we miss the blessings that we do possess. One thing right now is "I need more money. I have more bills than I do income, if I could just have more money I would be okay." We are so focused on the "more" that we miss that we have "money". We are so focused on the "bigger" that we miss that we have a "house". What we do have or don't have is that our real problem it is just a distraction that the enemy uses to block us from seeing what God has already given us. As I woke up today God revealed to me that the little things produce big results.

READ John 6:5-13

When Jesus saw the multitude and wanted to feed them. His disciples looked at their lack and saw no way to help the crowd with their need. The disciples we so focused on the crowd that they could not see the provision. A young boy had two fish and five loaves of bread. Think about that for a moment. That is a lot of food for a man nevertheless a young boy. To the boy he was given up a lot. To the disciples because of the five thousand people it was nothing. Jesus took what they had and thanked God for what was given. By having a thankful spirit God took the "little" and produced enough food to feed the five thousand and have 12 baskets full of excess food. When we thank God for what we do have God performs miracles before our eyes. The enemy wants us to concentrate on our lack but God wants us to see what He has given us and be thankful. When we are thankful it opens the door to receive more of God. Thank God for everything and watch the Hand of God work through your life. God bless you.
