And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.
And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. Joshua 11:4-6
All the kings that inhabited in the "Promise Land" gathered together to fight against the children of Israel. How could Israel conquer the armies of all the kings? We can see fighting one enemy at a time but this battle was going to be with all of them. The multitude of foes was so great that it is described "as the sand that is upon the sea shore" God has unified our enemies for defeat. God tells Joshua as He is telling us now "Be not afraid because of them" Victory is ours. If we remain faithful to the Word that God has spoken to us. "Tomorrow about this time" our enemies will be defeated. Some of us are going through the worst trials of our life. We are up against great odds and it seems that we won't be victorious. But God is telling us to not be afraid of our adversity or adversaries for God has declared they shall be defeated. No matter what our issues may be we must believe that God's Word is true and that He will deliver us from all of our troubles. God has delivered them into our hands but we have to slay them. We have to use the Sword of the Spirit(The Word of God) (Ephesians 6:17)to destroy every foe with the stoke of His Word. Lift up your eyes and look into the eyes of your enemies and declare the Word of God over your life and watch God deliver them all into your hands. God bless you.
So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they fell upon them.
And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephothmaim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining. Joshua 11:7-8
