A Life to Remember
In our lives we can be so consumed with trying to survive that we miss the "little" great things that occur daily. My children learn something new and love to share their new experiences with me but am I listening to them? Life is not about surviving it is about living. I don't want my children to remember all the cars, houses, and businesses that I have. All that stuff is temporary but love last forever. I want them to remember that I love them. No matter what they go through I want them to know that their father loves them. As parents we get frustrated by the loss of our identity in raising our children. It seems as though our parent role never takes a break. We must realize that we are sowing into their future. Every meal that we prepare, every diaper that we change, every mess that we clean up, every tear that we wipe away is sowing into the harvest of love that will come in the future. Let us love not in word but in deed. Our role in their future is vital for them to experience the life changing love of Jesus Christ. If we don't love our children they will learn how to love from the world. They will learn the conditional love that fades away when trouble arises. They must see unconditional love through us. Let our lives be remembered by the love we show. It is a life worth living for. God bless you.
